re his tie
I will bet my next paycheck that he forgot his ties at home and bought this at the Tampa airport.
That is a very Florida tie.
@VaBelle35 it it the TruQ10 that comes with a seperate bottle of B12 because it's such an important cofactor in COQ10 production. I've never understood why the B12 isn't in the TruQ10 capsule. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the ubiquinal version is unstable and it's in a liquid capsule... and that B12 is also a very fragile vitamin.
I love your comment about the tie. I was thinking the same thing. Clearly a Tampa airport purchase.

I never thought of that - that he might have forgot his ties. Definitely a possibility. My first thought was that Muriel picked it out! lol...
Yes, the B complex is bundled with the TruQ10. That had me confused.
I tend to be deficient in B12 (although, thanks to supplementing, my labs are very good right now) and I wonder if the B12 included in the TS, along with what is included in HHS&N will be enough to keep it in the good range? I don't want to take an additional B12 supplement if I don't need it. I need to check my other supps, too, and see what my total amount of B12 from supps is per day.
@willdob3 both the standard COQ10 (ubiquinone) and the TruQ10 (ubiquinal) each include 100mg of B12 with them.
I think there is 200mg of B12 in his Essential-1 multivitamin and 500mg in his Elite multivitamin.
That said, I wouldn't worry about getting too much B12 because, short of getting injections, that's a hard thing to do.
The B12 molecule is five to ten times larger than all the other B Vitamin molecules. And that's what makes it so very difficult for the body to absorb. While Andrew's protected B12 makes it through the stomach safely, it still has to latch onto the corresponding receptor sites in the small intestine. of it's size B12 is essentially a bigger "key" that needs more receptor sites to latch onto. If a B12 molecule doesn't line up properly to all of the receptor sites, then the small intestine can't absorb it.
Basically a lot of even the best B12 never gets absorbed, so it would be really difficult to take too much B12 orally.

@VaBelle35 wrote:The coupon you get with the TS is odd this time. It's not for the whole month, only certain dates.
I wonder what is happening at HSN during the non-coupon weeks that the coupon isn't eligible.
@VaBelle35 (and @Nightowlz ) if you are interested in trying the Phosphatidyl Serine (PS), with the 25%, this would probably be the time to do this.
I'll have to check the current Procaps and HSN prices but, it the past, the PS has been the one supplement that is the same price on both websites (probably because it is so expensive).
Generally speaking the day to day prices at Procaps are lower than at HSN but, in the past, PS has been the exception to this rule. -- So if this remains the case, then the 25% discount would give the best PS value for the year.

Do most of you take one or two per day of the CoQ10?
I was going to order the 400 size TS because I have been taking one per day. But I have never had noticeable benefits either so I decided to go for the best value and order the humongous 600 size. I'll try 2 per day & see if that makes a difference.
I think about three years back the COQ10 TS special price for the 200mg COQ10 600 capsule size became $200 which is an incredible bargain.
Since then I've been taking 500 mg of COQ10 daily: (2) 200mg COQ10 capsules and the 100mg in his Elite multivitamins.
Andrew says that our bodies need 500 mg of CoQ10 daily. He also says that the body is able to recycle about 200 mg of CoQ10 daily. So basically sounds like you need at least 300 mg of CoQ10 daily to be on your game. Since the price of CoQ10 has dropped so much I prefer to be on the safe side and take 500 mg to CoQ10 daily. This has the added added benefit of giving me more vitamin C each day and getting me more of the B vitamin complex each day.

I'm not comfortable with that much CoQ10. Mayo Clinic says: Doses of greater than 300 milligrams daily may affect levels of liver enzymes.
So I stay around 300 total between the Elite, the separate CoQ10 and the TruQ10.

So Andrew's tie is much better this round but Shannon's eye brows are making me nuts.
I can't look at the screen when she's on.
She needs to get those puppies tatooed.

@Nightowlz wrote:The coupon is only a good deal if HSN has the sale prices & free shipping like they do today. The dates the coupon is good for there will probably be no free shipping or reduced prices. The reduced prices HSN has today are Andrew's every day prices on his ProCapsLabs site. So 25% off would give you about the same price you would pay for the products today on HSN.
ITA
The coupon is usually when the items are NOT on sale and one pays shipping. IMO, those coupons are kind of worthless unless you "have" to have a product.

OMG! This is exactly my situation too! The label for Co-Q says take one or more per day, so I was taking one/day. I have about 150 Co-Q's remaining from the last TS. I also am going to take two/day and see if there is a difference.
I worked the math for the 200 (which I would order for one/day with my remaining 150) vs the 600 size. Including tax, I calculated the 600 size to be 34.7 cents/capsule vs. the 200 size to be at 49.45 cents/capsule. He always has a killer deal on the largest size!
I wish Andrew would make the sizes come out even for those of us that reorder. If you do take 2 capsules per day you would actually need 730 capsules a year, not 600. At one capsule per day obviously 365 per year. Is this a marketing strategy?
I am anxious to seethe size count of his biggest bundle on the Ca-Mg and D3 next weekend. I have a lot of both left from last year, so I'm going to have to rethink the math again, LOL.
It's a great thing I am getting 2X points on my charge during October! No flex-pay for me this time. Ouch!

I added all of Andrew's CoQ10 information to my laptop and I've created a separate CoQ10 - Coenzyme Q-10 thread in the Wellness forum.
To the best of my ability, it's an overview of the CoQ10 info that Andrew has shared so far in his broadcasts.
Enjoy!!

We will have to compare & see if we notice any changes with the increased dose.
I will have mine tomorrow.
I don't understand the sizes either.
