I take Andrews vitamins. They are more expensive unless you per pill price it. He is pretty much in line with small bottles of other brands.
I like to listen to him when he is on air because he teaches. He is honest. He explains why I need something, and other things I honestly don't need. It realy depends on your diet. He does his best to combine vitamins and minerals into one capsule.
One thing that bothers me about store vitamins is you don't know how fresh they are, how long they have been sitting on a shelf, or in a box. You also do not know what fillers are in them. Andrew doesn't use any fillers.
I also love that if you have any questions about anything at all his customer service is stellar. All of his people are educated and very helpful. I have called them many times.
I just finished a large bottle of Omega 3 which was a 2 year supply, and I finished up right at the same time as he was on with his yearly Omega 3 TSV. His truly is the best, as his DHA and EPA are in the dose they need to be vs some Omega 3's I have seen on the market. It is painful financially to buy big bottles, but I never had to buy them again for 2 years.
I buy PURE vitamins once in a while if I run out of something and Andrew's are not on sale or free shipping. PURE vitiamins are 3rd party tested for ingredients that don't belong in a vitamin. There are a lot of heavy metals in some brands of vitamins. They are sold on Amazon. Probably other places too, I just like having them delivered. You have to watch the seller though. Most do not take vitamins returns.
Not being regulated is a problem to me. Everything else is regulated, but vitamins are not. Seems strange. I also belong to Consumer Labs and like to read there for all sorts of things, including vitamins.
My son buys all his running powders from ProCaps Lab (direct from from Andrews lab) and he takes most of what Andrew takes. (Andrew is a runner) I feel safe knowing Andrew takes the same. Runners take weird stuff like Amino acids and other things normal people don't need.
Chaz Dean is a stickler for his protein powders. When he buys a brand, he has it 3rd party tested himself. He has found lead in so many brands. Sadly, I am not wealthy enough to have things 3rd party tested so I have to go by trust in the company. I do not get enough protein so I need a smoothy every day. I usually find out what Chaz is taking because he is such a health nut.

@gabstoomuch Very well stated.
I would add is that his products have not sat on the shelves for a long time. He doesn't make his products way in advance and then they sit in inventory for a long time. Many times during presentations, HSN has gotten close to selling out his product, so right there and then he gets on the phone and asks his staff if they have enough of the raw ingredients to make some more supplements. They usually do and they produce them 24/7 to complete the orders. Nice to own your own manufacturing plant.
So I know everything is fresh when I get a Lessman product.
I like that he does NOT use hard pills, only capsules. Easier to digest and go to work!
Also, his plant is totally solar supplied. It is unique not only for the 100% pure, additive-free supplements produced, but also for the purity of the power used to create them.
The roof and adjacent parking structure house one of the largest private solar energy installations in the world. This natural source of energy is used to produce all ProCaps products, making it the only supplement manufacturing facility in the world to do so.
ProCaps is also one of few manufacturing facilities to acquire LEED Existing Building (EB) GOLD status. They have been awarded this certification for their commitment to green energy production, environmentally responsible building upgrades and outstanding work environment.
Examples of their eco-friendly commitments include using 100% recycled plastic for their supplement bottles, installing ultra-efficient LED lighting throughout their entire facility, using only environmentally-friendly cleaning supplies, recycling a majority of their refuse and establishing a smoke-free campus.
Their uncompromising quality, commitment to the environment and the abundance of rave reviews from customers is outstanding.
A little known fact.....for every bottle of ProCaps Labs product purchased from HSN, he manufactures and donates a bottle of prenatal vitamins to a wonderful non-profit organization called Vitamin Angels, who will make sure these supplements will benefit pregnant women worldwide. About 20% of the donations benefit mothers and their babies in the United States.
So, there are lots of reasons I use Andrew's supplements, but probably the biggest reason is that they work for me. And I like his laid back style....he doesn't pressure you. In fact, I frequently hear him say something to effect that "even if you don't take my products, be sure to get ones that include....." and then he mentions things he feels are important in order to maintain good health in whatever area he is talking about.

@AngelLove2 I know this doesn't answer your question ... but I have been taking AL vits for about 30 years. They are worth their weight in gold to me. I've even given them as GIFTS and several people are now taking them because they have been so effective. I trust Andrew, his ingredients, his knowledge, and .... 30 years of proof!
i hope you find what you are looking for that works for you.

I never felt any different from costco or walgreeen,s Nature code, but I do from Andrew's vits. I am 84 and people say "The Energy Bunny". No kidding, my daughter in laws can,t keep up with me. No lie.
Two of these people said I,m not the typical 84 year old, but I,m sure there are others like me out there in today,s day and age.
I take 25 of Andrew,s vits a day. I,m popping all day long. My last blood test shocked my DR. He said remarkable, super low cholesterol. From 246 to 189. I take his Oatmeal with plant steroids. And his cholesterol tablets. His vits. are pure, no fillers, no Coloring and in powder capsule form. I have made believers out of friends. I had recommended with whatever problem they were having. Told them to check with DR. Because I exercise so much each day, my calves were sore from weight lifting and feet tired at end of day. I take his leg and vein circulation and in two weeks no more problem.
His vits are worth the cost. You get what you pay for, something I always believed in life.

@qvcaddition Good review of the Lessman brand and your results.
Have you ventured into the ChocoNuvo, which also has plant sterols? He makes the best chocolate. I get the 74%.
I too like his cholesterol-lowing oatmeal. So pretty much throughout the day I am getting ample plant sterols in my system.
My doctor also commented on my cholesterol numbers going down a few years ago. He took me off the statin drug I was taking when he found out I hadn't been taking them for six months, but was using the ChocoNuvo and Oatmeal, sometimes CholestaCare. It was the only way I could think of to actually see if Andrew's products work, at least in this area.
Showed him the containers and he read the ingredients. Said to "keep doing what you have been doing because it is working!" ![]()
I take a lot of his supplements, depending upon what the need is at the time. Amazed at how well they work in my system. Don't forget, Andrew said you can open up any of the capsules and sprinkle them on your food/smoothie instead of taking them in a capsule form.

I'm with you on not buying China made vitamins / food products. I try to purchase USA or Canada made...I know more about the quality control measures in place.

@mimilucy wrote:I subscribe to Consumer Labs as well. There are manymany caveats to taking vitamins and supplements in terms of dangers, too many mgs, quality, side effects, etc. I never take anything that a sales person advises. They are trying to sell. I do my own research. Andrew knows alot. It is what he doesn't warn us about that scares me. Also, very often his stuff is WAY over the RDA and that's not always a good thing!
I USED to be a paid member of Consumer Labs until I learned that they (along with several other similar companies) were recommending products based on how good or how high of an affiliate marketing commission they being paid by the vitamin manufacture. Great commission $$$ = high ratings.
One tell is vitamin companies that do not pay commissions are never included in the ratings even if they are well known/trusted and have scientific proof of efficacy.

We never venture out from Andrews products..
His Vitamins, Cinnamon, Omega 3 are never empty
in our cupboard..If the budget allows we add to that, but if it doesn't come from Procaps, we don't take it...I never have to think about "what am I really swallowing"...![]()
