My husband's arthritis in his hip is making it difficult to raise (bend) his leg to put on his socks.

I have seen on line 'sock aids' that will help him, with out my assistance.

There are a lot to choose from.

If anyone has a recommendation of one product over another I would appreciate feedback.

thanks,

@Mom2Dogs I hope you get help with that.  "Little" things like that make life frustrating and difficult.

@Sooner    Yes it does, and when he needs me to help put on one sock, I am not always available.

@Mom2Dogs  If you go to Amazon and type in help to putting socks on, they have a few options .  They are relatively inexpensive.

Re: Aid in putting on socks

[ Edited ]

I had 2 hip replacements in 2023.   The RMS sock puller was a lifesaver for me.   Purchased on Amazon.

@elated    Yes I did look there before posting, hoping that I would get a response from someone that uses a specif one.  Thanks

@irbrenda. Thanks for the brand name to look at.

I did take a look and watched the video.  I noticed in the video the model is putting on a short sock...like something worn in a sneaker.  The video shows taking off a taller sock.

My husband wears a taller sock but not a knee sock like I wear.

Do you think what you recommended is going to work with a taller sock?

I wish the doctor would have given him an exercise for getting his leg/knee raised up for grooming purposes.

@Mom2Dogs.  8 can't bend my right knee and couldn't get my knee high compression socks on.  I recently bought this gadget and found it extremely difficult to use.  After repeatedly trying, I finally ditched the whole thing.  It requires dexterity and strength.  I don't know what would work.

@Kachina624    I know I can send back but that is what concens me about my husband.  He has strength, but cannot bend his knee to get his foot up.

thanks.

@Mom2Dogs  This item was very helpful when my husband went thru his hip replacement. Purchased on Amazon, under sock aid. There are many.
