Thankyou so much @DrakesMomma  I wasn't diagnosed with Chronic Bronchitis. I was having a chronic cough only at night in bed laying down. Last night was the first night I was not woken up with a hacking cough & had a good nights sleep. Heart

@CoffeeNut ...(off the subject, entirely) but @CoffeeNut , I 'love' your little icon figure, trying to put one foot in front of the other - that is so '''me'' every day! Cute !

@Kabella    I have had that same  chronic cough at night for weeks.    the past 2 nights have been better, but I still cough.

Recliner or no recliner.  when it was the worst about 10 days ago,  I used some leftover Vicodin. hydrocodone is a cough suppressant.  helped me sleep at the worst point, because I could not get any rest at all.

@mrshckynut  Thankyou. I did try sleeping on my husband's recliner but had no results at night. Very little coughing now so it is a vast improvement. Phew!

Both my daughter and I suffer from seasonal allergies which are intensified when you get a simple cold.  What I have found that works wonders used on a daily or whenever you want is to use Simply Saline".  This stuff works to clear congested sinuses and runny nose.  It greatly reduces the amount of drip that gets into your throat which then causes the coughing.

My daughter uses it as a maintence once a day to help keep her sinues clear.  Her doctor said it's a great choice to use since it causes no problem/s like medications can.  For those that don't know what this product looks like here is a picture.  We usually buy the 3 pack at Costco but it can be purchased anywhere.  71A-NvoVMIL._AC_CR0,0,0,0_SX480_SY360_.jpg

I appear to have this. I cough incessantly at night and have been miserable and unable to sleep. I suspect the problem is post-nasal drip that keeps pooling in my throat and aggravating it at night. I get some relief from Dayquil/Nightquil but am still miserable. I've had it for nearly two weeks. I've seen my doctor and have had covid tests, but the verdict seems to be that it's a respiratory infection.

Try an air purifier and humidifier in the bedroom! They’re great for allergy sufferers, colds etc. . 🤗🤗🤗
