My husband has had poison ivy a few times and he never developed the blisters. It's just a rash. But a very itchy rash. And nothing OTC works for him at all. He had to get a shot plus is put on pills and it's still horrible.

There are tons of things that could cause a rash. Poison oak, poison sumac, an allergic reaction, an underlying more serious medical condition, etc.

Why are you asking for advice on a shopping channel message board? If this was anyone else, you'd have their head on a platter.

Slightly off topic, and referring to another poster above. Certain chemicals in tap water in certain areas could cause skin problems.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Could be from a medication you take. Last year I also developed a red itchy rash from the BP pill I was taking. Found out the pharmacy changed their distributor, and I was allergic to one of the fillers that the new pill contained. I quit taking the pill but it still took two weeks for the rash to go away.

Has the rash gone away? If not, have you seen or made an appointment with your M.D.?
