@bruingirl You are so right regarding leave in!! For the first three years I used WEN I was certain that the CC leave in would weigh down my hair. I was so wrong. Of course Chaz knows his products better than I do. Over the past year I've been experimenting with the amount of CC leave in I use. I try to air dry my hair as often as possible and the appropriate amount of leave in makes all the difference, as does SC, GS, and VTS. Thanks for bringing up this topic!

@bruingirl wrote:Hi fellow wenners,
Just wanted to share my thoughts on the importance of using wen CC as a leave-in especially when air drying. I've always used wen as a leave-in but since I'm now air drying more and blow drying less I have increased the amount of leave-in to 4-5 pumps from a 16oz bottle and I often mix it with a few pumps of glossing serum. I have naturally curly hair and curly wenners curls (or waves) need lots of moisture IMO. I concentrate it on the ends of my hair and work my way up...then I follow that up with styling creme, mousse and my newest beauty love the texturizing treatment spray!!!!
I actually posted my first ever review on Q for the texture spray...I know I know I should have been posting reviews all along (hangs head in shame) but it wasn't until Chaz mentioned the importance of reviews that I actually wrote one. So if you haven't already please post your reviews.

What did Chaz say about the importance of reviews. I've never left a review either. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip @bruingirl. I've only used half a pump for my medium length hair, but I will experiment with more.

I don't use CC as a leave in. I have long straight/wavy hair that I air dry 99% of the time and it really does nothing for me. I have tried a lot, a little and everything inbetween, with soaking wet hair, damp hair and towel dried hair. It either does nothing or looks greasy.
I don't really have issues with frizz much though these days and, like I said, I don't have curly hair so maybe the type of hair and the issues you have with your hair (frizz, unruliness, dryness, etc) all warrant the use (or non-use) of CC as a leave in?
I am glad it works for many but I wouldn't say it is a necessarily a requirement for everyone's hair. Just my thoughts/experience! ![]()

@CoCo87you're welcome! and I agree the appropriate amount of leave-in makes all the difference....I truly think for some it's an easy step to skip.

@HappyDaze I'll try to nutshell it but from what I gather reviews help determine which products/kits air. If a relatively new item doesn't get a lot of reviews we might not see it again ie. mens hair control texture paste. Also reviews can help bring more of what we love at better values.
ETA - I have been asking and asking for super size NBT so I think more reviews will help make that a reality.

I have (had) straight, fine, oily, long-ish hair (past my shoulders) and I never used any kind of leave-in products until about a year and a half ago. I thought the very idea of putting leave-in conditioner in my straight, fine, oily hair was the height of insanity! Well, I finally tried it and lo and behold, I find myself with lots of volume and waves! It's the most bizarre thing, but I'm sold. I use two pumps (16oz) of CC as my leave-in, then three pumps of SC and about a dozen pumps of mousse in soaking wet hair then air dry. It's really quite amazing the results I get. My family can't believe it either.
Now I'm curious to try the new beach wave product and see what happens.

@ChynnaBlue wrote:Yes, to leave-in. I've been using leave-in conditioner since I was in high school in the 80s.
I also write reviews for many of the items I've purchased. I go through new items and if I see a new configuration of an item I have (e.g.: I have a 32-oz bottle of a seasonal and now there's a 16-oz trio of the same formula), I will sometimes write a review on that, too.
Wow @ChynnaBlue, that's such a great way to support Wen and Chaz. ![]()
I've written a few reviews but I tend to forget to do it. I'm going to try to use your example as inspiration to write Wen reviews more regularly. ![]()
