I can't say that for all cats, since of course, they all have different personalities, but I will say with certainty - Cats can be very Loving and quite attached to their owners, even though they often "pretend" they are not.
The video I posted earlier here, with house cat laterally saving this little boy from a dog attack, shows precisely WHAT Love Cats are capable of. Amazing!
I think, cats are very attuned to "who is who" and unlike dogs, who love us Unconditionally does not matter what, cats more like "repay" back how they "feel" they are being treated by their masters. Or whatever that is, going through their little heads.
My Paloma used to pee in my purses, when she did not like something I've done. I never was able to figure out what it was exactly!
What I know for sure, Cats are ALWAYS watching! Everything.
@sonechko I have seen that video and agree it it amazing!
I completely agree about the love and attachment, and also the eternal watching. Mine is very particular about who she does and does not care to be around, and that WILL change if circumstances change. She always comes to me when I am upset - she always knows. If there is another person there and she thinks that person is causing me distress she will attack with her Claws of Doom! She also knows when people are completely safe, like how much she looooooooves certain visitors.
Miss Priss Sunny knows how to express her discontent in a variety of ways, but the most epic one was where she got hopping mad at the vet. She is usually pretty calm, but she HATED the new vet tech (as did I). She screamed and hissed (not usual at the vet) and got a low growl with a determined scrunchy face. She then swung her underside around and sprayed her with an unbelievable amount of urine. Her aim and velocity were a study in vengance AND physics. Hilarious! Terrible, but hilarious. She calmed down after that because she had showed that tech.
@yisbuff2 Sounds like your cat knows how to make her feelings known towards those she doesn't like!
@HSB1204 I strive to be as honest and direct as she is! Although I won't urinate on my foes.
@yisbuff2 Yeah, that probably wouldn't go well if you tried that approach!

@yisbuff2, lol, this is good to know. I'm guessing that you just stop them in their tracks with your amazing intellect... and, if that doesn't work, then by all means let Mme Chatte have a go at them.
