Ok so my face is as dry as sandpaper. I have had oily skin all my life, but as I exeprience winters lately, man every facewash I use eventually dries me up. Philosophy dried me up bad so after several years, I quit using it. Then I bought Neutrogena face wash for sensitive skin and it was ok for about a month and then started to dry me out.  Every facewash I see has alcohol in it. So, trying to be thrifty I was curious as to whether WEN has ever been suggested as a facial cleanser. If so, for those who have used it, what is your experience?  Thanks!

Wen works fine as a facial cleanser. It removes makeup and doesn't dry my face.

I have used it, but I have normal skin. The WEN does have menthol in it, so that may be a concern, it was for me, I didn't like it. I think Chaz said he uses it.

    @bmorechick

Sure, you can clean your face with it. Use your Clairsonic or Popsonic, too. Use it as an all over body wash in the shower.

The WEN classics will be ok, but the Level 2 Seasonals and Level 3 group are more treatment based, with skin pampering ingredients in the haircare items. So you're more likely to notice an improvement.

If you weren't trying to be thrifty, I'd tell you about using the WEN Ultra Nourishing Body Cleanser on your face. Comes in 613 or 319.

Right after I wash my face with it, I reapply and leave it on about 10 minutes as a facial mask.

Then rinse off and apply whatever you usually use while face is still moist.

Especially soothing in dry winter.

There are WEN formulas without menthol, if you have a sensitivity and need to avoid that.

Thanks to all...I currently have the Lavendar in my closet. I do use a Clarisonic so I think I will see how this works for me. I remove my mascara with Jojoba Oil but don’t want to wash my face with oil.  Cool...

YES!  I've used WEN for years as my facial cleanser.  It thoroughly removes my make-up & leaves my skin soft & hydrated.  I personally use the seasonal scents as my facial cleanser or the 613.  They are all wonderful!  To duplicte what @x Hedge said, it is great with your Clarisonic or Pop Sonic, if you have one or the other.

I use any of the seasonals or Wen Men, any Wen Cleansing Conditioner.  I take one pump from a 32oz. bottle, massage on face in shower, add splash of water and then take one more pump, apply that to a soft lacy kind of thing that you use in the shower, mine's on a stick and has a brush on the other side, then I really scrub my face with that.  I get it all creamy and foamy and let it stay there.  I then do my whole body like that too. When rinsing, I scrub with that lacy thingy to and get it nice and clean because I have oily skin big time.  After shower, I apply the Nourishing Body Treatment to face and whole body and my skin has NEVER, I mean NEVER been so soft and has this glow.  My face used to always feel icky and gritty but not no more!!!  LOL!  Seriously, and it took a while for it to cut through all that built up oil in my pores too but now my facial and body skin is like velvet!

Some really good advice on here.  I love my Wen, all that's in my shower is Wen and Beekman boys goat milk soap.  My skin is the best it's ever been.  Though I never had problem skin (I can thank my mom and grandma for beautiful skin) but I truly believe these simple products enhance and keep it that way!   Closing in on 60 this year!

Me too, LindaSal.  I cleanse my whole body with Wen.  I always say it makes me feel like a pampered princess every day.
