I have to admit that I am torn by your suggestions. If we want change then we must be involved in the process. I agree that it is needed. The WEN forum is what I would call "My Happy Place". I come here to interact with like minded, helpful, social, enjoyable woman.
There is also the other side of me that just does not have time for the BS, from these posters. It's not just the WEN forum, it's so many others. The most innocent sounding threads can turn into a disaster due to the same miserable people that comment on the WEN forum.
Let's say that most of us agree to this. We start a direct appeal to the MODS in a thread. I can see right now the number of people that will jump into this thread to post their hatred of WEN. Who do we think we are? Do we think we are special? The MODS are favoring this Group "W" over this other group of posters. More than likely you will also pick up a lot of people that have no feelings one way or the other towards WEN, but if they think that we are receiving special treatment, then the gloves come off.
I think what you are trying to do in motivating us to seek/demand change is great. I just feel that we would be opening an unholy can of worms that everyone had better be prepared for if this is the method that is chosen.
This is just my thoughts on the matter.

I speak to what I think is right and fair. Fair to me is honoring the board standards for All.
That said, I have paid the consequences for speaking up many times, and as long as I do what I believe to be right and know to be true, I'm willing to pay the price every time.
I don't think asking Q monitors to apply their standaeds evenly is unfair. I also believe if one of us meandered on over to NCB and posted the exact comment w/ his name there would be HTP. Absolutely believe it, and just might try it feeling a little feisty here in NO.
@icezeus , I really appreciate your thoughtful post and I've been thinking about everything that you outlined in your post. ![]()
Even though it will require some time (though hopefully not that much), I'm willing to give it a go because I think it's worth trying.
I stopped doing the MB thing years ago specifically because of the nonsense that unfolded over time. This forum is unique because the Wenners in this forum are a lovely and fun loving group of people.
Hanging out here gives me a relaxing place to unwind. ![]()
While interfacing with the mods about this issue will require a small time commitment, from my perspective it's less time consuming than handling each bait thread and it's subsequent hassle.
My primary goal would just be for the moderators to see that these negative threads are not created and continued by the people who come to this forum to learn about Wen. -- These threads are engineered by non-Wenners for the specific purpose of creating havoc and upsetting everyone. Once identified, the threads need to be closed for new comments. Period.
___
If we were able to interface with one or two of the mods who understood what's up, I think we could stop most of this nonsense before it got out of hand. Brittany and Kenai have been really helpful in the past, and I'd love having them on board.
Here's what I'd like to happen...
When we see one of these threads playing itself out, and we know that none of the "voices" are Wen regulars then, in the offending thread, any one of us could just post a message to the mods saying...
None of the folks posting negative replies to this thread are Wen forum regulars. This thread is now being used to to badmouth Chaz and Wen. Since this violates Community Standards, we would appreciate it if this thread would be closed to new comments. Thank you. ![]()

I think the legwork would consist in starting a thread on this topic and including a notification to some of the mods. Hopefully the mods will share their perspective. It that happens, then hopefully we can come up with a simple action plan together.
___
I think it's really important that we have general agreement on this, as a group, since this affects (directly or indirectly) all the Wen forum members.
From what I've read, I think there are at least a few forum members who would be willing to do the heavy lifting (and I'd be one of them).
So the key thing to know is whether or not folks in this forum think that this is something that we should do.

My FAS is here! My FAS is here! Tracking shows delivered! Come on 5pm so I can tell Boss Satan to kiss it and go home to my new bottle on my doorstep. I am dying to smell it for the first time after all the warnings and use it. I am almost sad it is going to tear me away from Lav.

That is one of the few foods worth flying across the country for. At least I have my grandmother's Tangipahoa parish Oyster dressing to get ready for at Thanksgiving. 😀👍🏾
I have enjoyed so far 1/2 a muffuletta, beignets, and 1/2 of a shrimp po'boy. I will no doubt have to take a train home!
Here for a 10 year reunion honoring the animal losses and saves many of us who were here 10 years ago knew. Surprisingly many people whose animals were rescued have turned out with their animals or photos of them.

Laura14, let us know how you like the FAS. I believe you have curly hair like me, and I love what FAS does for my curls. Amazing!

It might not be a bad idea to rile 'em up. That board needs a little push to kickstart some activity.
I find it kind of sad that some of them would rather come here, to voice their dislike of Chaz and all things Wen, than to post, on a brand specific forum, about a product they claim to like.
On a brighter note, I think the work you do and commitment you have for animals is commendable.

@bebe777 This is a great idea! It seems fair and supports the positive vibe on the boards. I do think, of course, there needs to be a place where people can ask questions or express disappointment or frustrations if something isn't working out. Most posts are completely sincere even if someone is a bit vexed. I didn't realize that people weren't being sincere in some of the recent threads because it didn't occur to me that people would make an extra effort to act ugly, but I understand better now. The overwhelming number of folks here are lovely and friendly people which is always an awesome thing.

I think alerting the mods and posting "unkind" or "against community standards", on any offending post or thread, would be more succinct and to the point.
If someone repeatedly posts the same negative criticism over and over again,eg Chaz's hair looks greasy, they are obviously trolling because they already know how people reacted the first time they posted it.
