Not everyone who gave up the Wen for one reason or another is a hater. I'm certainly not, I'm happy for those of you who are 100% happy with their results. I gave it a go, tried several of the products but I just found that after 3 or 4 or sometimes 5 uses my hair wasn't horrible but it was just kind of lifeless and I couldn't get over the feeling that I needed to get my scalp feeling fresh and tingly clean thus the need for using the Neutrogena every 3rd or 4th use, after the Neutrogena it was just a feeling of "ahhh, that feels better" and then I'd try the Wen again and that became the cycle. Now granted I could have kept trying experimenting with various combinations, as many of you have of the different products until I hit on the perfect one for me and there probably is one but I just wasn't willing to invest the time and especially the money that potentially could have run into the hundreds of dollars till I hit on it. So I just decided fooey on this!

Wow! I am very hurt and saddened to be called a hater! I didn't think about the timing of my post compared to the timing of the TSV. I chose to post here with my question rather than randomly searching the internet because I thought the other WEN ladies would be able to offer some helpful advice.
I guess those of you with harsh comments chose to overlook the fact that I stated I have been an exclusive WEN user for years! Or the fact that I stated clearly that I did NOT want to give up on WEN but was having a problem.
Should I have posted pictures of my WEN stash to validate myself prior to asking a question? Did you look back at any of my other posts to see that I have never said anything but postive things about WEN?
To all the thoughtful and kind responders thank you very much.
To the snarky name callers, you have shattered my idea that this board was sort of a sisterhood of WEN support. So disappointing.
I'll not be posting here any further.

@BlueBirdSky it's not clear to me what the exact reference was but, if you'd like to find out more about Wen, then you might want to hang around the Wen forum for a while.
Wen TSV time can be a bit tricky. Unfortunately, what inevitably happens during this time is that we see a small number of "new" posters who always seem to have these negative Wen experiences. Basically, there's an intentional increase in Wen baiting which is so unnecessary and such a shame.
So when the first post from a newcomer around TSV time is negative... well, a lot of us put our guard up, because we've seen it so many times before.
While it's been relatively at a low level in the Wen forum this time, if you check out either the Beauty forum or the Today's Special Value forum you'll see what I'm talking about. -- Team Wen had an all day info chat in the Today's Special Value forum and they were baited in a most disrespectful fashion.
And that makes Wenners really angry.
Truthfully, the Wen forum is a wenderful group of great ladies and gents. I haven't done the MB thing in years and what brings me back to the Wen forum is the great, supportive, helpful people here.
So If we all got off on the wrong foot, then I hope you'll think about giving us another chance.

@sonechko wrote:I use WEN CC exclusively, and I do overnight oil treatments couple times a week. I DO NOT have any build up. None. As the matter of fact, my hair and scalp are the cleanest they've ever been.
So, please forgive me, but I really do not have any valuable advice to offer for people who appear on Wen Board right on WEN TSV day with Wen build up or other Wen related problems.
But I do wonder a little, where are those former Wen users who lost their hair in clumps? Have not seen them this weekend. Yet.
It always amazes me how you can turn an innocent post into something else..Just the tone of your answer is that you don't believe ANYONE who has a problem with Wen. All you think is that they come on here to make waves. I'll ask the question again..Do you get any ROYALTIES from Wen & Chaz for such LOYALTY.? My guess is NO.It's Shampoo and guess what? The only person getting Rich on all this is Chaz..so, lighten up..she really has a problem and like she said..she came here for help..and what does she get...Remarks like yours..

Hi Bluebirdsky...I wonder if your water is harder now and maybe that is effecting your results?.....I have to use a shower filter and i replace it every 3 months..Get it on Amazon....If you find you need to use a shampoo and Wen that is perfectly fine if it works for you....I do this with great results....I do use Wen as a leave in with the styling cream and glossing serum in sopping wet hair and get great results..Sometimes mousse to...Just experiment and find what works for you...Good luck!

@bebe777 ! Please, there is no need to apologize for this forum in any way. Plenty of newbies and people having problems using Wen come here for help all the time, and do GET here an enormous amount of help every time.
The OP may come here for help as well. It may be. This means, she knows this forum somewhat, if she even considered coming here for help with her "build-up" problem.
OP claims not knowing the timing of her post is consistent with the day of Wen TSV, even though she claims to be a Wen exclusive user for years.
She may not have any interest to know, when are the special and affordable prices are offered on the QVC, to buy her exclusive use hair products. She might not have a real need to save money on her exclusive hair products. It may be. She might have much more money than any of us, to be able buy them at full prices. I do not see any problem with any of that.
Some Wenners from this Board do eagerly "jump" and offer her their advice right away, some (like me) prefer to stay put, simply because this thread is named "Re: Scalp Build-Up Help! Please) and the thread is posted on the day of TSV. It may be. It's okay.
Even though the Original Poster say, really has a problem, chooses not to call a company, but come here instead, and she really has not a clue that the thread named the way she choose naming hers, will be a sure magnet for all those, who only are too happy and eager to jump in on any "invitation", bashing the product on it's tsv day. It's okay too.
Some Wenners felt suspicious by the opening posts, some eager to help, some feel plain offended by this, and other nay-sayers responses, and they choose to post their responses to the negative posts. Are not they also entitled to their opinions and their responses? No, they can respond. It's okay too.
This Board is very peaceful and extremely helpful to all it's participants. All the time. Except maybe, when provoked. Because one gets back from this Board exact same energy with which one comes here. That's all. No real need to post here in huge size bold print. All is well. It's okay. ![]()

@Ms X wrote:Why don't you just use shampoo every now and then if you feel like it? I love Wen, and it makes a big difference in my hair, but I have the Herbal Essence cowash, which lathers A TON, to use every now and then. When I use it, I either wash with Wen afterwards for moisture or add a couple of pumps of Wen as a leave-in.
This!
I had the same situation as you last year after being Wen-only for two years. My hair revolted. I used a moisturizing, sulfate shampoo and all was right again. Because of this, I shampoo every 4-5 months to keep my bipolar hair happy.
I recently got Cucumber Aloe CC. While it's a great product, I feel I still need to shampoo periodically.

Wow... I can believe a Wen user came here for advice. Yes, some people do have issues with Wen or any other beauty products for that matter.
@Yes, @BlueBirdSky came on a TSV day asking for advice. She probably wanted to know which products to buy to correct her problem.
Bebe777 tried to smooth things over and offered some good advice. Then to have someone come back say this was some sort provoking thread, is way off base. These comments and accusations give the forum a bad vibe. Even after reading so many positive threads here...It only takes one bad accusation to lose a new or potential Wen customer.
It is much better to be kind and/or give someone the benefit of the doubt.

Around 110,000 kits were sold on the day of TSV, but either 13,000 or 16,000 were sold before on pre-sale. I do believe Wen is doing just fine, even if they would somehow loose a new or potential customer that managed to get offended by that "someone's" comment.
By-the-way, the really bad and provoking comments I was referring to, they got already removed from this threat by a moderator, thankfully, because they were really harsh and too nasty to remain posted here.
