Re: Scalp Build-Up Help! Please :-)

I have been a Wen girl for 5+years.  In the last year, I began losing my hair.  My mother and sister have very full hair and I always have, as well.  At first I thought it was medication, so I switched them up - no improvement.  I altered my diet, tried to lower my stress level - no change.  I finally went to a dermatologist specializing in female hair loss who has me on Prenatal vitamins (I'm 66!!) My hair was also flaking.  The Dr. recommended a scalp wash to be use before each shampoo, Rogain once a day, and another vitamin.  It's been about 3 months since the Dr. visit and I have some hair regrowth. Listening to Nick Chavez the other day, he happened to mention that his shampoo cleansed the scalp as well as the hair.  Suddenly it came to me that the many years use of Wen, may have caused build-up on my scalp, and leading to my hair loss issue.  I just returned my most recent Wen purchase and ordered the Nick Chavez shampoo and conditioner.  I don't know if this will cure the problem, but I'm goin to see if it helps.  I may have to switch off between the 2.  Stay tuned!!

judk1, what's important is that you find a hair care brand that you are comfortable with and that works for you.

Since you are in the process on switching over to Nick Chavez's hair care products, I just wanted to give you a hot link to the Nick Chavez forum which is within the QVC forum system (it's a sub-group within the My Favorite Brand forum). I'm sure they will be able to answer any questions you may have about his products.

Best of luck!!
