I use the Green Tea Bamboo Tea and Italian Fig hair masks. Love, love, love how it makes my hair feel. VERY hydrated.

One of my friends uses Fig CC and was going to get that same flavor for the hair mask. I was telling her I thought Chaz said the bamboo water in the two I use were more hydrating. So before she buys the Fig hair mask, what can any of you tell me about which ones to use...what are the differences between the core and the bamboo water ones...and will there be a 316 hair mask?

My thought is that the bamboo water ones are more intense than the core; and if there is or will be a 316 hair mask, it will truly be hydration on steroids!

Your thoughts please. Thanks in advance.

Re: Hydrating Hair Masks

[ Edited ]

@World Traveler I assume that your talking about the Remoist (because that's what we generally call it). -- For the recent OTO, Chaz gave us the option of the Oil & Remoist duo in either of the Restorative formulas (BGT or MIF). My BGT is on it's way but, if I remember correctly, the QVC product title listed it as "mask" instead of "remoist"... which was very confusing. -- ETA: Yup, I just checked the QVC product listings and they don't have a consistant way of labeling the Remoist (see below).

I've only used the Tea Tree and Lavender Remoists and they both give me the same benefits. Except for the essential oil fragrances, their ingredients decks are the same. From what I've read in other threads, with the exception of the POM which is nut-free, all the Classic Remoists have basically the same ingredients decks (except for their essential oils scents/fragrances).

I haven't compared the BGT and MIF ingredients decks to the ones for the Classics ingredients listing, so I don't know if bamboo extract is a primary ingredient. Since the Remoist is an Oil heavy product, I tend to doubt that there is bamboo water in in the ingredients deck.

The bamboo water is one of the things that make the BGT and MIF CC formulas so great. FYI, bamboo water contains natural silica which makes hair stronger but in a "bendy" elastic, and not in a stiff and breakable way. -- I would assume that the bamboo extract also has silica in it but I'm not sure. During his presentations, when Chaz describes the silica benefits it's usually part of a bamboo water conversation.

@World Traveler thank you. Tha's so sweet of you to say. Smiley Happy

FYI, I just added some additional info to my prior posts that helps to clear up all the confusion about the product name. QVC seems to reinvent a name every time they comd out with a new Remoist. Smiley Wink

Also, before you pass the info on to her, you might want to wait for some feedback from folks who have used the BGT or MIF mask... because I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. Smiley Happy

FIG is my favorite hair mask I do think it is the most moisturizing. I also like the BGT - I received that as part of last year's TSV. I don't think I would pay extra for it although that OTO was a great deal- which I missed.

@World Traveler There probably won't be a 613 remoist/mask ever...Chaz developed 613 for customers who complained they didn't have time to use the remoist, i.e. those who cleanse in the morning (like me) and don't have time to cleanse, leave remoist in for 30-45 minutes, then rinse out.

That's what I figure, too. He always says Remoist is a cleanser plus a treatment.

Oh, that makes sense. Good point!
