@Alter Ego A few thoughts - I so admire you on traveling solo. I believe it's takes a lot for a single woman to do this, and to go to places far far away all on your own.
You picked a couple of outstanding lands, Nepal and Abu Dhabi. I would go to Abu and being so into Formula 1 racing as I am, if you're at all a follower (and good heavens no, F1 is nothing like any other auto racing), they race in Abu Dhabi usually the last of their season in November. To be there then would have also made a trip like this even more memorable.
Keep traveling and enjoy every moment.

Another reason for my delay in posting is because I simply couldn’t select which photos to post. Especially from a place like the mosque. So, I’m severely editing and still may have too many.
Women in particular have a dress code. Long pants. Long sleeves. Nothing too tight. And hair must be covered. I saw one woman be turned away and the only reason I could see if that possibly I could see too much of her chest. They had traditional abayas if needed. I also saw that other tour groups had some provided, with their logo branded on the back. You have to take off your shoes, so advised to bring a pair of socks.

You walk down long halls along the side of the building.
Until you get here

Final room and chandelier
Since this trip is wildlife focused, saw this interesting bird on the grounds.
Final image for the morning and last from the mosque. I don’t think future locations will be so long! Sorry!!

@World Traveler wrote:@Alter Ego Oh, I thought I read in one of your posts that you did some organized tours on this trip, that was what I was referring to, not meeting a bunch of people at the airport and traveling together, staying in the same hotel, etc., like I do.
"I took three tours with Emirates Adventures, found on TripAdvisor. The first was a full day private tour."
Well, I'm not quite awake, so I must have misread what you meant. ha!
Then it is I that misunderstood. This was an organized tour, but flexible because it was just me. I actually usually look for tours, whether private or small group, when I travel. I like to be picked up from my hotel and dropped off. Abu Dhabi is very large, with its attractions far from each other. In some cities, I may walk around by myself. But much easier on a tour here in an air conditioned car, particularly when it’s in the 90’s!

Wonderful photos. Thank you for sharing. Trips like this change your understanding of the world.
Never knew new there was a Louvre Abu Dhabi. Is it an extension of the Louvre in Paris? Are the Whistler and Van Gogh on loan from Other museums? The museum had quite a variety of art. I bet Egypt would love to have that mummy back!
Great selfie. Did you wear local attire?
The mosque was so beautiful, very ornate. Interesting photo of the entrances.
Will you make a “real” photo album?

@Another new name Sue - the Louvre Abu Dhabi is part of a thirty-year agreement between the city of Abu Dhabi and the French government. The “joke” is that these are the items from Paris’ storage rooms (although they were still very nice!) So, I think much of the artwork is from there.
I didn’t wear an abaya in the mosque. I actually wore last years D&C beach pants (A289177) in blue multi and a Logo cotton top (A286939) in sand. Was fine for the mosque, but a lot of fabric for the rest of my tour. But, wasn’t that bad, especially with the AC.
