This is a selfish post, directed to @Happiness Is Inside JOB , to hopefully help her post photos from her very cool sounding cruise that I personally want to see!  LOL

Hopefully, it may also help others who would like to post.  Or, because I’m doing this via an iPhone, someone can chime in with what’s different using a computer (I believe @Happiness Is Inside JOB said she has a Mac.)

I’m visual, so will try to do it via photos...

**********

To start, I am going to assume that your computer automatically shows the “full version” when you post. (Will explain why I say this at the end.). Therefore, when you are posting you see the following (I don’t know why the photo is gray!):

Click on the icon with the mountain and sun (moon?) picture, as circled.

Select “Choose File”.  Since I’m on my phone, I would just go to my camera roll.  I assume you would need to go to the relevant folder on your computer and choose the photo from your files.

After you select your photo, you can select your size.  When I do my Trip reports, I select Full Size.  If I’m responding in a thread that’s not mine, I tend to use a smaller size (in my Santa Fe thread, my cat photo was medium.)

You could also select something under Align, but I tend to keep as is.

QVC only allows photos of a certain size - I don’t really know what causes this, but I’m talking pixels or something. Too technical for me! It’s how big the file itself it, not the size of what the photo is in your post. You may see errors like this:

I have a few tricks to get around this on my phone (an app that shrinks the file or I screenshot the photo and delete one of the copies).  I sometimes preemptively shrink the files before I post.  But, I have no idea what to do on a computer.

It took a while for me to get used to posting - especially posting comments between photos.  But it may be harder on a phone.  Everything is so small on my screen, but it’s my main source of posting- and it’s where most of my photos are. I haven’t upgraded my computer because my phone or chrome book are so convenient!

******

The reason I said that I assumed you are in the “full” mode is because my iPhone defaults to “mobile” mode.  A year or so ago, QVC messed up their mobile view. When it’s on mobile, you can’t see notifications nor can you quote fellow posters or post photos.

This is technically my mobile view!!!

Obviously, when I read and/or post, I pinch and make everything bigger!! The point is, you should make sure you are not in mobile mode.

The Full Version looks like this:

And that is how I post photos!

Does anyone do it another way? Something easier? Do computer users see anything differently?

@Irish1210 - and a beautiful photo it is!

On my other thread, @Kachina624 mentioned QVC's instructions.  These never worked for me, but that's likely because I'm on my iPhone.  I had a feeling that there was another way, given the amount of photo's posted on other forums!

This is per Q's Welcome forum:

Here are instructions for posting a photo from qvc.com into a forum post using a PC and a MAC computer.

Steps to post product photos in the forums on your PC:

  1. Go to the product detail page which is where you see the item photos, item description, item videos, etc.
  2. Click on the Enlarge button to open a window that shows the item.
  3. Note: the photo may be zoomed in when it opens. Click on the minus sign to reduce the size of the photo.
  4. Right click the center of the image to have a menu appear with the option to SAVE IMAGE
  5. Note: if the image zooms in while you right click be sure to click the minus sign again to zoom out.
  6. If the image is the correct size, right click on the image and select SAVE IMAGE and save the photo on to your computer.
  7. This PNG file is now able to be added to a forum post.

Steps to post product photos in the forums on your MAC computer:

  1. Take a screen shot using the Command + Shift + 4 keys
  2. Take the cross hairs & outline the photo.
  3. When you release your mouse, the screen shot will be on your desktop.
  4. The image on your desktop can now be added to a forum post.

I'm glad you asked, I generally don't post photos on this blog, but gave it a try as I watch the Olympics. Sitting here thinking it would be nice to be in Seaside, FL now.
