Re: Disney World Tips Please

@homedecor1   Lucky you!  We learned to do an "action" thing and then a "quitet ride."  Always stopped where a band was playing for a snack and work the park either clockwise or counterwise.  Saves a lot of steps!

Enjoy!  It is a wonderful place to go!

Yay! I really hope they work out.  I got the idea from Travel Fashion Girl's Facebook group.  Since my comment here, I've seen two additional group posts saying they would never travel without them.  I'm actually charging mine right now to take with me on a short day trip (though it's not too hot today, may be nice to have!)

Re: Disney World Tips Please

@homedecor1 Have a wonderful trip.

And most of all wear comfortable shoes. Since you are staying on site PLEASE use the Concierge at the hotel. They are so helpful.

There are FREE water fountains around the parks so use them to keep hydrated.

There is an app. It listed the wait times for the rides. wdwpassport    /wait-times.

There is lots of other informaation at wdwpassport.

I am sure you and your Grandaughter will have a wonderful time.

I am surprising my GD (13) with a trip to Disney World.  We will be there 3 days & going to Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom Parks.

Unfortunately, it's going to be hot but she only has summer to visit me.  So, I'm prepared (I think) for it!

I haven't been there in a few years.  Any tips or suggestions are welcomed you could give me.  We are staying on site.

Thank you!

Since you're staying on site, you are able to make Fast Pass (FP) choices and ADR's (adbanced dining reservations) 60 days out.  If you're staying in a Deluxe WDW hotel (Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom or any DVC) you can take advantage of Extended Evening and Early Morning Hours.  Since you mentioned that you're visiting only 3 parks, I'm assuming you only want a 3 day park ticket.  In that case, you'll need to make a park reservation for the park you want to visit for each day.  Only tickets for 5 days or more do not require a park reservation.  That's the last I heard (I was there in May 2024) and the park reservation icon is still on the MDE (My Disney Experience) APP.  Consider a park hopper ticket to jump to another park.  During the very hot summer months, many park goers do rope drop to get on as many rides as possible.  If you do so, plan to be there at park entry 30 to 40 minutes before park opens.  When noon rolls around, they'd go back to hotel for a break and use the pool and then go back to the park.  Be mindful of your park ticket(s) and reservations.  If you haven't already, download the MDE APP.  That's where you make you dining reservations, FP choices, link your magic band and link your hotel reservation.  You can also do on line check in, the sooner the better.  It does close at some point.  Be mindful as to all you reservations and how they'll work.  For example:  If you're at Animal Kingdom park, that's where your FP's should be and pronablu an ADR, whether it's lunch or dinner or whatever.  For ADR's Ohana, Royal Tabnle at the Castle, Beaches & Cream, HomeComin' ressies go fastest.  There are LOTS of YouTube videos to watch.  Some of the most popular are: Mammoth Club, DFB Guide, Paging Mr. Morrow and Theme Park Expres.  Many hate all the planning required to a WDW vacation, and the cost.  But some of it's necessary.  I've been to WDW MANY times.  Got married there and a DVC Member so if you have any questions or need help, recommendations...whatever, just ask.  Have a wonderful time.
