I have a Carryall III rolling underseat bag from LL Bean.   I love it!!   It is well made and fits a fair amount of stuff.   I also have the rolling pullman from the same company.   I have traveled to Europe for a month with just these pieces.   There are so many available traveling clothes now.  You need some you can  mix and match and that don't wrinkle.  Also light socks and underwear that can be washed in the hotel sink at night and are dry in the morning.   I wear my light and airy Skechers and bring another pair and one pair of dress shoes for dinner.  One Irish sweater and a packable rain jacket........DONE.

(oh and very littel makeup, only necessary toiletries)  Happy travelsSmiley Happy

FYI, I just travelled to Norway on Norwegian Air and the allowable carry on size was only 20".  Luckily I had just purchased a hard sided 20" carry on (a cheap one, Ciao brand, on sale at a local store, I was desparate!) - with wheels - and it fit perfectly in the frame they provide at check in that indicates that your bag can be carried on. International rules for carry on seem to be different than within our borders.  The bag worked relatively well, it did the dreaded wheeled bag flip flop a few times, although I don't think any 360 degree wheels can handle the seams in sidewalks or pot holes in roadways!

I was just looking at a more serviceable under seat bag to accompany my new little hard sider and the Travelon under seater with wheels gets good reviews.  My trusty Vera Bradley tote, while it took all I shoved in it, was cumbersome to carry (no wheely strap). I'm also looking at the Lug Boxer 2 due to back pack straps to make up some of the space lost on the 20".  You wouldn't think one or two inches make a difference, but they sure do!
