Re: Would you buy a mattress online?

@cjm61  -  I also purchased a mattress online for our guest bedroom.  It was perfect.  So, my answer is yes, @Sweet Kitties , I would purchase a mattress online.

No, i would not buy a mattress online only for the reason that I would need the deal where  my old one is taken away.

Re: Would you buy a mattress online?

my daughter did when she moved into her first "adult apartment" last year. she did not want her old mattress in her new apartment. she said it was so much easier for her to purchase a brand new one online. she read a lot of reviews and went with "THE PURPLE MATRESS" that is made in the USA . they are not cheap, but she loves it. you cannot believe the relatively small box it comes in and how much it expands.

No, nor would I buy chairs or any other high ticket item from TV.

give it away.

have it picked up by a junk hauler.

my daughter had hers picked up curbside from her old apartment once she wrapped it in a complete sealed protective mattress cover.

As long as there are local stores to buy a mattress, I will go and purchase in person. I do not want to make any major purchase online that I can make in person.

Bought a Saatva online.  Delivered, set up and old mattress carted away.  Totally satisfied with process.  Most of my purchases are online these days.

I have no problem purchasing "bigger" items online.  Last year I purchased 2 of these gaming chairs for my grandkids - built in speakers and all the bells and whistles.  They were delivered to their home with no problem.

Never. The comfort of a mattress varies from brand to brand. I don't want to try to remove an old king sized mattress.
I buy local, they'll haul away the old mattress and save me the hassle.

Yes, after considerable comparison shopping, about 12 years ago I bought a memory foam mattress online, was able to wrestle it into my bedroom and onto the bed by myself and have been blissfully sleeping in it ever since.

If a mattress is going to cause me aches and pains, I first have to lie on it for several hours which you can't do in a store, so how does trying it for a few minutes possibly help make the right decision?
