Would you buy a mattress online?

That is unless you've previously owned the TSV mattress & already know it's comfortable for you. Then I can understand. Otherwise it seems like a leap of faith to me.

Yes,  after extensive research. With the exception of groceries, 99% of everything else I purchase is online. I hate to shop. Just going to a mattress store and laying on one for a minute or so would not be enough for me to know if it works. I would need to sleep on it. To my knowledge, I don't believe the mattress stores allow that at this time.

Last year we did purchase a box spring mattress online for our guest bedroom.

Buying any mattress is a 'leap of faith' if you think about it.

You go into a store...try out the mattresses and you find one you like!  Lucky you!

You don't know how long that mattress has been there or if it is regular factory stock!

You order...order goes to factory...shipped to you!

What you get is NOT the mattress you laid down on!

Really?  Do you think the store sends you the one you try out?  Nada!

cjm61, I buy so much online too, but I'm picky about certain things. I want lay on a mattress in a store before I decide.

Zhilis, silly girl! Of course it's not the same mattress! It's about the brand. Do I want Beauty Rest, Tempurpedic, etc? Do I want soft, medium, firm? I need to know what feels best in the brands I try. Each brand has a standard that will be relatively the same in the mattress I buy.

Not if i have the choice.  Just purchased mattress and box spring from a local store which makes the product right there and you can actually watch it being made.  You can lay on all the beds in their showroom etc. and they offer returns and will repair any problem for 10 years -- like tear, or wear -- not stains -- for no extra.  Plus, they offer a 365 day warranty that you can return it -- if you find it does not meet your expectations.  They took our old mattress set for $10 for a recycle fee.  BTW:  Did try out the most expensive brands ($2000-$3000) with memory foam and all the new features and am not a fan.  Seems like most of the online delivery mattresses (boxed too) I have seen have that foam feature.  Guess I am happy with the traditional mattress and box spring combo.

Re: Would you buy a mattress online?

Yes.  I just purchased an organic latex mattress, made in Los Angeles.  I researched for over a year.  I knew I wanted a latex mattress and it had to be all organic, because my experience sleeping on a latex mattress was like no other for me.   I had a sleep number bed for 18 years which had sprung a leak in the core and would no longer stay inflated so after researching for over a year for what was in my opinion, the best organic latex mattress I purchased one.  I am sleeping better than ever and I was having issues with a good sleep for quite a few years.

Re: Would you buy a mattress online?

I never thought I would. In 2018, I bought a Serta King, Hotel series from QVC, and have been very happy with it. The vendor really took you through the presentation. So much that I even decided to buy the soft one, which has great support under that.

I have always purchased a firm and frowned on the term plush thinking it would not hold up or I'd wake up sore everyday. For me it's quite the opposite.  I am loving the sleep I am getting on that mattress.

It is a leap of faith. The previous mattress I bought was way more money and I kept returning to the store to keep trying out mattresses until I was so confused, and the sales person talked me into one of the most expensive ones she had. I was never happy with that  uncomfortable mattress and got rid of it only after a few years.

I don't know how we would be able to return this or any rolled up mattress to QVC if it wasn't to our liking. I'm sure you would knock yourself out trying to repack that mess.

I have purchased Lazy Boy recliners on HSN. I am pleased with that purchase too. Call me lucky, I guess.

How would a person  get the old mattress  removed?

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.
