Re: TSV - Sunday

[ Edited ]

It's been a while since I've seen a Dyson TSV.  You could really say that about most of the products since they are all pretty much repetitive.  At least there are plenty of other choices on TV.

Yes, and it's advertised as "the lowest price of the year".

Just think it's only 27 days into the new year, bet someone wasn't thinking about that.

I just have to wonder who is buying all these vacuums. I mean, shouldn't a vacuum last for quite some time? Mine do.  Or, how many vacuums does one need? One, or maybe two if you have a two story.

I can buy a good vacuum and it literally will last years and years. In fact, I think I have only had three since I moved out of my parents house. And, I only got rid of my first one because it was a cansister and I wanted an upright instead.

Suggest potential buyer read product reviews (especially time use on a charge and recharge time) and ratings (especially 1, 2 and 3 stars).

Here's what I found out at the Dyson website:

Good morning Linda! The suction on the V8 is 115 air watts compared to 100 with the V6. You will also have double the suction power! The fluffy head is available for $149.99.

The Dyson TSV today is the same one I have and have bought for each daughter.  We all like them but I wanted to compare.  I think I'll order the V8 because I want more power and don't like the idea of using the kitty litter vacuum from the cats room on my rugs and kitchen floor.

So, it seems like the TSV is probably a good value with enough power.  I'd buy it if I didn't already own it.  I want the one with more power.  It's worth the extra money for me.

Notice that fluffy head is $149 which makes the TSV an even better buy.

@Annabellethecat66 ~ I remember you responded to my thread regarding which type of vacuum I should buy ~ Dyson or Bissell.  I also remember how much you love your Dysons!  I decided to purchase the Dyson Ball Upright and absolutely love it!  I couldn't believe how much it picked up the first time I used it.  I'm really tempted to get this, too.  It would be quicker to just grab this and clean up the kitchen or bathroom floors and save the other one for when I need to do all the carpets.  We have two canaries that make a mess with all the birdseed and I think this would be great to clean up under their cages, too!  :-)

@Julie928 I just bought the Dyson stick but the V8 for $476 (includes tax too and a bunch of extra stuff I'll never use)  Ha!  Talked to the Dyson rep for over 1 hr on computer.  Difference is no easy pay.  I usually use easy pay but just paid for it.  It is double the power and way longer cleaning time.  The stick is wonderful for hard wood floors but most of my house is carpeted so I needed the extra power for the rugs.  I'm glad you like the Dyson.  I love their products.  You get a discount if you own one already.  I love love QVC though and buy everything from them.  I just wanted more power.

This one I have will go to the cat's room where the litter is kept.

Just didn't feel right cleaning the kitchen floor with the same vacuum I clean up spilt cat litter.  They've never thrown out a poop but tons of loose litter...AMAZING!  Ha!  I'm tired of sweeping it up.  Thank goodness it's in a separate bathroom.

Anyway, I think most people are like that about Dyson.  They do cost more but I swear by Dyson products and I also love QVC.  I bought my mattress from there.

Getting ready to buy sleep number bed but my daughter said I must get it from place where they will set it up.

@Julie928 Yes, that fluffy thing should pick up those seeds.  The one I have doesn't have the fluffy thing on it, I thought it did but it doesn't look like the one today.  I does pick up the cat food but still throws it some.  I'm going to use this one on the cat litter in the cat's room.

The girl (Brandi) gave me a bunch of extra gadgets.  I never use them and I never read any directions.  You'd have died laughing if you'd seen me trying to take apart the stupid stick thing to get the registration thingy off of it.  (let's just say it was close to meeting the wall).  Ha!  Never did get it off but get this...I NEVER register anything but Brandi was able to find where my late husband when he bought the first Dyson in 2004 registered it so that's why I got the extra %20 off!  He always followed the rules...Ha!

You know what I'm talking about when you step barefoot on even a little seed (especially a pebble from the litter or food it feels like you've jumped on a bolder!  Ha!  It makes me feel like the Princess and the Pea where she felt the pea under the mattress.  Ha!

Anyway, what a day so now I own 2 stick vacuums.  If I had not wanted the V8 extra strength I'd have bought another QVC V6 it works great and QVC backs up their stuff.  I can just call them and say, "What year did I buy this or that and they call it up".

Take care.
