I don't have a cordless Dyson, but I do have a Dyson vacuum. The shark rocket I have actually works better (housekeeper agrees). It's not cordless though, but the cord is super long. It's much cheaper, and has all the attachments to work like the TSV. My housekeeper has converted some of her clients from Dyson to the Shark after bragging about it, and they like it better too.

I use an Electrolux cordless where the center part comes out for using as a cordless mini vac. I love it too. Stylish, almost futuristic looking.

Not knocking Dyson, just saying there are much cheaper options that work as well. I have back and neck issues so I've tried many.

Personally I was disappointed with Dyson. And way too heavy.

Wonder how much the V8 model will weigh. If it will be more and how much more than the V6. That could be a consideration. If you are carrying the item around.

@drizzelllaOn the Dyson website, the V8 weight stated is 5.75 lbs.

@Alexa6352 Thanks for the info. Today they are closed, tomorrow I will call.

Before you buy a Dyson ask a vacuum repair person about them 🙄. I needed a belt for my vacuum (not Dyson) I asked at 2 different shops and they both said Dysons were absolute junk. One guy showed me over 20 being repaired or fixed. Both said Miele was far superior but generally $100 ones do the trick.

i was also told Dyson is Best Buys most common return. This was told to me by the BB employee FYI

@MEM22 I have had my Dyson cordless for over 2yrs with not one problem.I have another Dyson Cordless for almost 5yrs and it's still going strong. Before I bought the Dyson Cordless I had many Shark cordless ones that never lasted.Didn't hold the charge and just weren't good. Paid on average about $70 bucks for them ..Maybe the Dyson Regular vacuums are in the repair shops.I doubt he was talking about the Cordless ones. I will never give up my Dyson Cordless and I use it everyday!

@MEM22 Well that's nice to know. I see where a lot of people complain about the Electrolux I have not holding its charge, and not lasting. I love mine and have had zero issues. So I guess that just goes to show, not all reviews and opinions necessarily reflect what your own personal experience might be.

weight is one thing, at 5.75, not too bad...but the price is $799.95

for the V8 on Amazon. If QVC offers it as a TSV someday, I wonder how much the cost will be...between $500-$600?  Too rich to get sucked into😁

I watched the presentation a few times and everything about will work for me. I have an Electrolux upright and I need a cordless. Too much vacuum with the Shark if that makes sense. I have mainly hardwood flooring.

Dont let the technology disuade you from a great price. There will always be someting newer, more improved, etc.. Look at computers and cell phones ,TVs .Its the age in which we live. The TSV is a great price and Im sure its pretty rare to run a vac 40 min so however slightly inconvenient ,its made up with a great reduction in price.799 for a sticker on the V8 is NOT worth the difference!!
