This Dyson cordless model was a great deal. I checked a well known department store and it was selling for $200 more with less attachments. I usually do not order items such as these on QVC, if I can get the same deal or comparable to it locally, but the savings alone was worth it, plus free S&H. Ordered mine as a gift. I feel that this Dyson cordless model is great as an extra vacuum for the second floor of a home, so you won't be hauling your larger vacuum up and down the stairs. Wouldn't want a cordless vac as my only vacuum, as the run time is approximately 25 minutes on a charge, not long enough for my needs. Not bothered that a newer model is being released soon. The price of this one was right in my range, and it will work pefectly for who I bought it for. The newer model most definitely will be more expensive.

5.75 for the v8 Absolute and 4.5 for the v 6 Absolute. The sticker price is 300 more than the TSV
