I do not carry heavy leather large bags any longer but these are pretty. Beautiful colors. I have seen many American LEather bags at Marshall's and TJ's and the leather appears to scratch easily.. Not sure If I would chance these because of that.....

@diyproud This brand was never "made in America." They made quite a huge deal of sourcing their leather from Upstate New York. So their leather was sourced in America, but it was never made in America.
I saw quite a few posts last year of them getting flack for not being clear about that.
By the way, American Leather Co. is owned by Aimee Kestenberg.
@Caaareful Shopper Thanks for alerting handbag lovers to the intersections within the retail Handbag World.
Aimee and her husband started Affordable Luxury Group (great web page) which showcases 3 different handbag lines (one Aimee, one American Leather Co, and a third which was unknown to me).
@1Professor Great call-out. That 3rd handbag brand is House of Want. They're also on QVC.
I'm surprised at the number of posters who don't like a wide-bottomed bag. I can't stand a narrow bag.
Agree. I don't like having to put my items in the bag a certain way to accommodate the narrowness. Seems too fussy to have to do that. Also I like a bag that stands up on its own. Luckily there is something for everyone
