My experience is eactly the SAME.  I used my 9 x 13 baker to make stuffing for Christmas dinner and it split/cracked right in the middle. 

 

I have my ole corning ware that is so old I can not even tell you.  Never any problems.  I purchased the big set an now I am hesitant to use any of the other pieces.

 

I have always used the utmost care with my Temp-tations.

 

NO more for me

I was seriously thinking about ordering Temp-tations, but after reading this I think I won't.  It's just too fragile to repack if I want to return in and I'm not the best packer.  Sorry that this happened to you.
