This is a really good romantic drama, if you can call it that. It stars Bette Davis, Janis Page, and Jim Davis (later known as Jock Ewing on "Dallas"). I think it probably was his first movie role!
It is not your typical Bette Davis movie and the story line is very interesting. I always try to catch it when TCM shows the feature. TCM at 4:00 p.m. EST.

Hubbs and I just watched it. Planning on watching it again.

Sounded interesting so I recorded it-will watch soon. Love the title, lol. I'm sure I've never seen it.

I usually love old Bette Davis movis, but not this one. For me, the utter lack of chemistry between her and Jim Davis makes it a dud.

While I watch "Winter Meeting" primarily for Bette's wardrobe and the apartment set (the story itself is ponderous), the best part is the performance and presence of Janis Paige.
Ms. Paige recently turned 99!

I always love so many aspects of it, and can rarely resist watching it when it's aired. The art direction is a big part of that. But many other things come together well.
Bette is subtle, fits her poet role to a "T". And agree, @Johnnyeager , the young Janis Paige is perfectly cast as the spurned, delectable, pouty young secretary.
Ideal also, is the unsung John Hoyt as Bette's sometimes acerbic, but basically kind, "perennial bachelor" friend. He's a character player I love stumbling upon, whether it's in a noir classic like "The Big Combo" (where he stuns in another small role), or even something like an old Perry Mason episode...

I am a Bette Davis fan and I have never heard of this movie. I looked it up on Hulu and plan to watch it today. Thank you so much
