Re: Your FAVORITE Classic Movies Including Musicals😊

@SandySparkles

I wish I still had the same admiration for her as I used to. When she started taking advantage of her public platform to talk politics, I lost my respect for her as I do with any actors/actress who takes advantage of their public platform to talk politics. I wish they would all just stick to making movies and singing.

@monicakm Welcome this morning!🥰 That is MOST unfortunate!😐 I like her, but was not aware of this. So MANY stars use their celebrity status to do that, and sometimes it brings awareness to a MUCH needed cause, such as child hunger, human trafficking, animal cruelty etc...🤔

THANK you SO much for caring to share your perspective this morning!🤗

So many movies that I like so much,  but my very favorite is

Sound of Music.  My husband and I have been married for many years and saw Sound of Music on our first date.

@PamfromCT There should be a Sound Of Music fan club because I and another poster REALLY like this one! I especially LOVE❤ the beautiful locations on which it was so brilliantly filmed!😊

THANK you SO much for caring to share your favorite!🤗

How could I forget Barbra Streisand. I had a major girl crush on her for decades. I loved every single movie she's ever made but A Star is Born With Kris Kristofferson was probably my favorite and then Yentl.  When my friends were listening to Acid Rock In the late seventies I was listening to Barbra Streisand  and the Carpenters.

@monicakm  I just loved the Carpenters, my husband and I danced to We've Only Just Begun at our wedding.....many years ago...lol 😂

Re: Your FAVORITE Classic Movies Including Musicals😊

There are so many that I just love and have watched multiple times:
Movies- To kill a Mockingbird
Guess who’s coming to dinner
Casablanca
Fun Movies- The proposal, pretty woman, Erin Brockovich,
Notting Hill, national treasure. Basically anything
That has Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, George
Clooney, Nicolas Cage In it.
Musicals - my fair lady
South Pacific
Fiddler on the roof
The sound of music

So many great movies to watch. I’m sure I have forgotten some of them. Thank you for starting this post. I’ve had fun reading it and saw a couple that I want to check out.
