Oh my gosh "the summer of 42" was the best.  I forgot about that one!

Anyone like "Love Story" with Ryan O'neal and Ali?

O

@Pink123 Welcome back!🥰 Yessssss! I have seen it several times, and each time I CRY. JUst call me SandySofty!😁 The final scene where Oliver says to his father, "Love means never having to say you're sorry", just makes me grab for the tissue box yet again!😊

THANK you SO much for caring to revisit with another well loved favorite this evening!🤗

Anyone remember "The burning bed" with Farrah Fawcett?.  It was a breakout role for her in my opinion.

If not please try to watch this one.

@Pink123 Welcome back!🥰 I saw this many sunsets ago, and although Farrah delivered a tearjerking, BELIEVABLE portrayal of a battered wife, it was at times difficult for me to watch, because the subject matter reminded me of a family member! FARRAH gave her ALL in that role, and proved she was an actress to be taken seriously!!❤

THANK you SO much for caring to share another favorite this evening!🤗

"West Side Story" always. Love the dancing, songs, use of color, graffiti for cast info, beat up realistic locales.

I agree with you all who said My Fair Lady! Others of mine: Gigi. Flower Drum Song, South Pacific, Sound of Music, Bye Bye Birdie,  Cinderella (the original musical).

Classics that aren't musicals: Sayonara, Houseboat, Operation Petticoat, An Affair to Remember, Back Street, and so many others. GWTH is definitely in a class by itself!   Smiley Happy

I could sing you songs from every musical you mentioned 🥰

@SandySparkles

If you haven't already heard it, use whichever music streaming service you use and listen to Bring Him Home by Colm Wilkinson.  Its the original actor who played Jean Valjean in the New York Broadway show.  And if you don't get goosebumps you're not human lol

I read the book first and couldn't put it down. It was life-changing. Then there was an older TV version of the story. Then I saw it three times on stage and in more recent years there's been a remake of the movie. Hugh Jackman plays Jean Valjean in the latest movie.

Second favorite classic Broadway play is Phantom of the Opera. I've been able to see it twice on stage. Third is A Chorus Line
