Watching the Rockettes Christmas

This was on last year.  Really like it.  Man the costumes, makeup, sets, quite impressive.  I looked up to see how many Rockettes there were.  They have two sets of them.  Quite impressive.  This is on Net Flix.  Watched Pentatox (can't spell it!!) perform too.  Last night I saw a show on colleges that do the singing competitions.  I love Netflix.

New York really offers a lot to those who get to see those shows.

I would love to go see the live show someday, I can't even imagine what it would be like to see it in person. I do have a dvd version and just love it.

Re: Watching the Rockettes Christmas

I live in suburban NYC, I have seen the show several times during my life. Its still a thrill go to Radio City.
When I was a kid, Radio City showed movies and also had a stage show, its only in the last 20 years or so that it has become mostly a concert venue.

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

My parents liked to take us at least once a year. We saw either the Christmas show or the Easter show. And we would also check up tourist stuff while we were in NYC.

UNTIL, one year (it was still while they were showing movies) we were sitting and watching a racy preview. I will never forget it was for the movie David and Lisa and they were in bed "enjoying each other's company". Well, my Mom was not thrilled while she sat with her 7, 8, and 11 year old kids (approximately).

That was the last time we went to Radio Music Hall.

"The Christmas Spectacular" (the Rockettes show you are talking about) had a show at the Fox Theatre in Detroit from Thanksgiving until New Years for years. My uncle would take myself, my lil sis & my cousin for our Christmas gifts every year until we were about 17...such great memories. It's truly amazing in person!

Re: Watching the Rockettes Christmas

A number of years ago we did a girls night to the Christmas Spectacular here in Cleveland.  It was a really good show.

Last year I was in NYC a few days after Christmas and we saw the live show at Radio City Music Hall and I loved it.  There was nothing like seeing it live in NYC.
