Happy Fourth of July everyone!!!
This day will no longer be known as the day to celebrate America's independence, but it will be forever more known as day one in the reign of Supreme Leader Jack of the Aquamorons. (Or is it Aquamen? Whatever.) Yes, somehow Jack managed to become the new HOH in the BB 21 house. (Seriously people, if you throw HOH comps some moron like Jack will win it and you have to live with the consequences, so stop throwing comps!)
In a display of his leadership, Jack, who heard Holly and Christie talking about not talking game with the two returnees (David and Ovi) decided that was a good idea and called a house meeting where he declared it house law. (This all took place within the first hour of his reign.) No one is to talk game with Ovi or David! So let it be written, so let it be done! As a general rule, house meetings in BB are a really bad idea. I'm pretty sure most of the house knows this. Nicole sat at the table with a stunned look on her face the whole time as Jack was trying to explain why it was better for Ovi's and David's games that they be kept in the dark.
A bit later Jack got his HOH room and found a letter from his dog awaiting him. (Well, his co-worker who's looking after his dog anyway.) The co--worker exclaimed how sad and depressed Jack's dog was that Jack was no longer there. We've managed to find an image of Jack's dog in his current mood after hearing that Jack will not be present for at least a few more weeks.
As you can see the poor dog is just devastated. As are we all in hearing that Jack will be in the house and on our feeds for at least two more weeks.
So, Jack, being the kind and benevolent leader that he likes to think he is, has decided it's best to target two of the remaining minorities in the house in the black girl (Kemi) and the Puerto Rican girl (Jessica.) Camp Comeback is being called Minority Island by BB fans on Twitter. Those currently there include a black guy (David,) a Bangladeshi (Ovi,) and soon either a black girl (Kemi) or a Puerto Rican girl (Jessica.) One could almost think a pattern was developing. Hmmm....
David apparently made quite an impression on his fellow houseguests in the final interview stage before they officially joined the show which is part of the reason why he was targeted early on. The prospective houseguests tend to be moved in a pack pre-game and those who were in David's pack pretty quickly decided they didn't like him. As we're seeing more of him, that's becoming a bit more understandable. Less than twelve hours into the game he's already told Christie, our lesbian, non-stop talking, nose-ring wearing new age girl, that he converted his last girlfriend from being a lesbian and he can do the same for her. (Yeah, maybe not the ideal first impression to make there David. You might want to actually try, oh I don't know, thinking maybe, before you speak.)
Meanwhile our other returnee Ovi, continues to be a naive blind sheep. Nicole and Cliff have pretty much told him what happened, but Ovi seems oblivious and believes Jackson that the house flipped at the last minute and neither Supreme Leader Jack nor Jackson would ever lie to Ovi, but they had no choice but to go with the house. You could hit Ovi over the head with a 2X4 and he'd apologize for getting in the way of the 2X4 and worry that he might have damaged it.
As is to be expected of someone as superior as Supreme Leader Jack, he has now officially adorned the robe of power and is wearing it nearly nonstop. (Note to BB production: Remember to burn the HOH robe after this week. There's no detergent powerful enough to remove the stain of Jack from the robe. Burning it is the only real option.)
So, we have a week now of a power mad dictator rallying the minions to do his bidding. The good news is he'll fully alienate anyone who was on the fence about him. (Most of the house already hated him.) And he can't win HOH next week. Well, unless he changes the rules and as the all powerful Supreme Leader he will no doubt try to do just that. It's going to be an interesting week as Jack lectures the peasants on how the game should be played.
The feeds will likely be down for much of the day today as BB typically gives the houseguests a Fourth of July party. Well this year it'll be a Jack is the Supreme Leader party, but whatever. The BB grill makes its first appearance typically about now, only to then disappear for a bit until it returns more permanently. Jack and his food inspector Jackson (who decides what the houseguests should and shouldn't eat and lectures them about their food choices and even throws away food he thinks they should't eat) will no doubt supervise the use of the grill and decide who gets to eat what. Jackson was so thorough in determining what food they should and shouldn't eat and removing the icky stuff, that he managed to have them out of food and resorting to eating dry cereal late yesterday before BB took pity on them and restocked the storeroom.
It's going to be an interesting week with Jack in charge. We have a new Whacktivity power coming into play this week that could upset things for Supreme Leader Jack along with the POV comp. If one of his nominees comes down the plan is to use Kathryn The Emotionally Unstable, as the replacement. If both come down Nick and Isabella could be at risk. Just when we thought there couldn't be a worse HOH than Christie, along comes Jack to prove us wrong. Oh well, these things happen. On with the game.

Dang! Cliff got up earlier than normal and I missed the first part of his talk.

Cliff's talk today was pretty similar to the rest. He didn't like the house meeting and thought that was unnecessary. He's not sure what to make of David. He said David used the "R" word last night talking about those with mental disabilities and then when warned said, "No one's watching at this hour," or words to that effect and didn't apologize which bothered Cliff. David then joined Cliff for a bit and they seemed to get along pretty well. David seemed to be trying to recruit Cliff by saying there was a big alliance in the house. Cliff said he wasn't sure, but he knew he wasn't part of one. (Cliff is sort of allied with Jackson and Holly and to some extent Kat. He wants to bring in Nicole with whom he has a final two but is biding his time.) Cliff said he more saw individual relationships than a big alliance. (Cliff is a bit blind about that.) David pointed out that the big alliance will pick off the little alliances unless they unite against the big one. I'm not sure Cliff agrees there is a big alliance. David said he picked up a lot watching the people around the table at the house meeting. Some looked shocked and confused while others nodded in agreement. He believes those nodding were allied. (He's right.)

This was a 1st for me got live feeds and the show didn't air for us west coast people. I was confused seeing David & Ovi there. This should be a fun week with Jack as HOH. No suprise that he will put up Kemi & Jess. It's going to be the Jack show this week. Glad no one did leave the house.

BB is having an earthquake as I type this. There are waves in the pool and everyone's reacting to it. Now we've got fish as BB gets everyone someplace safe.

And the feeds are back and everyone has settled down. I checked online and it was a 6.6 in the Searles Valley in Southern California with a 4.2 aftershock. (Bear in mind the early numbers are often a bit off.) A 6.6 is a pretty big quake though. I'm not sure how far away the Searles Valley is, but it got their attention.

The numbers have already been adjusted. The big one was now a 6.4, the first aftershock a 4.7 and a third aftershock of 3.5. It's getting pretty quaky in that part of California.

Cliff just snuck up behind Tommy who was sitting on one of the kitchen stools and started shaking the stool and Tommy thought they were having another earthquake and couldn't figure out why no one else felt it.

Happy 4th of July BB fans! I hope everyone is planning on doing something celebratory whether it's watching a fireworks show or even just eating a special treat. I'm planning on putting away at least one hot dog and washing it down with a bbq'd burger!
I wish I could have been watching feeds today but I'm on my way to a gathering and am already running late (what's new, lol) so I'm typing as fast and furiously as I can.
Being on So Cal I wanted to report that this was a major quake for us. I hadn't felt anything like that since 1994 and this was by far scarier. It went on for what seemed like an eternity--which translates to about 30 seconds. I had things fall off my bookshelves--nothing heavy, just some greeting cards and small pictures but my chandelier in the dining room was swaying back and forth like crazy. I've lived here a very long time and this was definitely one of the scarier experiences I've ever had.
It seems it's been decided that it was a 6.4 with the epicenter being in an area known as Ridgecrest which I believe is about 150 miles away from LA. I wish I could be around to report more but as I said if I don't get on my way I'll be in big trouble! Again, wishing everyone a happy 4th!
Please excuse any typos or whatever...I typed this at warp speed!
Take care friends, talk to you soon.
PS - Say a prayer for the folks in Ridgecrest. They're in for a rockin' and rolling afternoon. I hope everyone there is safe. So far we haven't been feeling the aftershocks but I'm sure they're being felt up north.
