Re: The Bachelor - Peter the pilot

In defense of airline industry people keeping a room in their hometown - 'rents' house -- most pilots and F/A live in two places until they get enough seniority to settle in a hub town where they can afford to buy/rent a home. Most have crashpads in hub cities until they make more money. My daughter lives in San Francisco in a crashpad with 20 others. Pays $400/month. She keeps a room at my house, in the Midwest. She will soon transfer to Newark, NJ and live in Jersey City, renting apartment with 5 friends she went through training with. $500/month. Just mentioned this because it's tough until their salaries increase. Most people don't realize this.

Back to Bachelor - we watch it sometimes while texting other daughter back and forth. Lots of fun to group watch. I don't understand why these women emotionally vomit their insecurities to a guy when they're 1:1. What a turn off, I would think.

Re: The Bachelor - Peter the pilot

Historically, I've avoided this show and its female counterpart like the proverbial plague. With no offense to anyone, I think they're sort of demeaning and insulting to everyone involved, including the audience. The 'rose ceremony' in particular strikes me as ridiculous. That said, I have to admit to stopping in briefly and occasionally this season, only because I find Peter to be serious eye candy. I can see him being a nice little plaything for an older woman but that's about it. He strikes me as a light-weight, not to be taken too seriously. As for those girls (not women, but girls...) I suppose I can see why some men might want to 'date' (wink) them, but can't imagine why any man with even half a functional brain above the waist... would even consider marrying them.

Re: The Bachelor - Peter the pilot

I found peter to be so attractive when he was on

Hannah's season and was happy he was chosen the next bachelor. I thought it would be a really good season.

Maybe it's off to a slow start but I'm kind of dissapointed in this one.  Other than looking at him of course.

I'll give it some more time.

@stevieb  Agreed.  Thought there was more to him other than his sexy boyish good looks last year. We shall see what happens but I'm doubting it.

Re: The Bachelor - Peter the pilot

All I can say after tonight's episode is WOW - Peter.  First Hannah Brown is taken in by a musician with an agenda and now Peter is being taken in by not one but two beauty queens.  The unbelievable aspect is that multiple women on the show have warned him that he's got a player in the house.

Don't know how I feel about Peter.  It seems that the two beauty queens are going to be his final two - why else would he devote so much time to these two and their little drama?

Feel he has totally disrespected the other women by placing these two front and foremost above everyone else.  Its been two days of him almost exclusively talking to the beauty queens.  I feel the women should pack up and leave instead of waiting around for the few crumbs he occasionally throws their way.

Re: The Bachelor - Peter the pilot

I haven't watched this show in years, but tuned in for the first hour last night because they were in my hometown.  This show is completely staged.  Peter doesn't pick which women go on dates with him, the producers do.  Nobody will every convince me that Victoria wasn't chosen for the Cedar Point/concert date for the drama with her ex.  That is also why he was chosen as the performer.  No wonder so many of these relationships fail.  Guess it will be several years before I watch again.

Re: The Bachelor - Peter the pilot

I really was hoping some of the girls would walk last night.  What a joke that was.  The concert was so set up and evidently, from what I read, the musician was furious that he was put in that spot and made a part of the drama.  At this point I'm only watching because nothing else is on.  I thought Colton was a bad bachelor but this guy is up there as one of the worst IMO.  Talk about an immature little boy.

Peter is worse than a bunch of hens gossiping in a break room. That's an unattractive trait in anyone and IMO more so in a man.

And the women are I'm like, I was like [hair flip, horseball tears], like, like, like... Then HE'S like this, like that, you were like, I just thought like...WTH?

We all know that the producers exercise control, too, over who stays and goes, so anyone who thinks the 31-year-old woman, for example, will be Peter's pick is smokin' the wacky weed. EVERYONE has to have an opportunity to be the next Bachelorete, so he's not going to jettison those early on whom producers want to stay.

Beyond that, Peter is the perfect example of a phenomenon seen often, today: when men finally emerge from their parents' basement (meaning he's inexperienced and immature--I know he doesn't live there), they're not looking for women; they're looking for GIRLS. A man-child like Peter wouldn't know what to do with a woman.

Oh, and the women's initial reaction to the "Cleveland" surprise was comical lol.
