@sunsetbeach wrote:If you have Spectrum, call them and ask for a credit on your next month bill for those missing channels. Don't do chat, you have to call them. I was reading about people getting credits, so I tried today and after about a 10 minute hold, I talked nicely to the representative and received a $15 credit on my next bill. I debated doing it, but decided what the heck,, I'm missing the US Open.
Thanks for posting this. I called Spectrum today and got the $15 credit on my next bill

We just went through apple tv and ordered a FREE 21 daytrial of youtube tv. We will be able to see all the ESPN--US Open and College FB.
If they cannot work this out in 21 days we will just reevaluate.

Maybe spectrum felt that people would not care if it was included in their line-up as a result of their decisions. Spectrum's priority is money not programing or considering its clients so I suspect this decision was money biased.
Not being a smart aleck here, but OF COURSE it was money biased. Unless it's a non-profit or a charity, ALL businesses make decisions based on the bottom line.
I don't think anyone should be surprised by this.
I have Spectrum and am thinking they ought to give customers a break on the monthly bill until the dispute is settled.
I even considered going back to Dish, but Dish is currently missing regular channels, too, and I need Spectrum for internet.

@On It wrote:Disney pulled its channels from Spectrum because they could not agree on a new contract. I have lost CBS twice for long stretches of time. Once on Dish while living in the Texas Hill Country. The second time was in New Mexico on our cable provider. My husband was upset because he missed a good portion of the football season. They reached an agreement just before the last playoff games.
Losing access to stations is a common negotiating strategy between both parties. Our New Mexico cable does not have any of the channels that show Law&Order. The group was dropped to hold down costs.
Streaming options are another pressure on cable. I am glad I am not in charge of any entertainment negotiations.
I don't watch any sports whatsoever, so I really don't know .... isn't it possible to watch sports on the internet?

As far as we're concerned they they could remove all the sports channels and give us other channels..
We miss NatGeo.

@Tinkrbl44 That is a possibility. The loss of CBS in New Mexico was six years ago. We did not think to try to find it. I know others complained about missing the games, too. I enjoyed the blackout since I do not like football.

@Jo1313 I agree with you concerning NatGeo. It's really the only thing I watched. Never watch/or need a useless sports channel. Take them all away and give me credit for not having them.

🏰 Remember when there was a magical park in Florida called DisneyWorld?
