After all these years still a great film.

It was directed by a relative of Giada (granpa or dad).

As I watched I thought about the posting where a woman was beaten w/her cane.

Is a different movie other than the one with Charles Bronson?

Loved Charles Bronson in this film, several months ago on cable TV they had Death Wish 1, 2 & 3 to view,  Jeff Goldblum plays a hoodlum in #1, hard to believe this film was made almost 50 years ago.

Horrible film ! Scarred me for life. Couldn't believe they did a remake with Bruce Willis.

Women went thru a horror.  Don't let your children watch it.

Has some elements of reality . Mother and daughter shopping and  thugs follow them .

I  was watching one of those true crime shows  on TV.  One true story,  2007 Cheshire Connecticut  was abt a Mother  & daughters who  were followed  by thugs after a trip to the grocery store that resulted in   a home invasion and the torture they went through  before dying .

Hi @SharkE, I do know what you mean. Some films can be really disturbing & stick with us.

I don't remember much about Death Wish, but DW2 was the bugaboo for me. The rape scene was the most sickening and violent thing I'd ever seen.

Muddling through...

To this day before I go into a store where I know I'll have to give my address I already have it written down and hand to the owner or whomever and I take back the paper after he is thru with it and if he has a ID badge on I write on piece of paper.

You have to be aware of everybody around you,

take nothing for granted, don't be spacey, don't put yourself out there with skimpy clothing, occupied with cellphones, etc.

I'm old LOL but still decent looking and don't dress

suggestively.  In a perfect world , yes, you should be able to dress how ever U want to and not care what other people think, but, it's sure not a perfect world.

This movie was a wake up call to me and should be to all women. If your John Wick (LOL) yeah, tell me to shut up.  If not, use your brain.

I agree with you.  What this movie taught me is to have a nice sturdy screen door.  A keyhole in a door is not enough to see who is on the other side of the door.
