I just read and heard all about this. I think they should be allowed (as he has told them always) that they could have his personal items.
As a widow I can tell you (I was married for 38 years when my husband died), my daughters specifically wanted things of their Father's that specifically reminded him of them. I let them choose whatever they wanted (things like his wallet, driver's license, etc). He didn't wear any jewelry (except he had a gold wedding ring).
I don't understand why it is important to her except to sell it. I heard that it was his collections of watches she wanted to keep.
