Don't know if you've ever been to upstate NY and if you have,,where, because it's large and has diverse terrain. IMO upstate New York is mostly lovely
The Catskill Mountains, where Garo's place is, is scenic and beautiful
Hee, the video of Christian marching up that path was priceless! I was more than surprised that that was where Garo and his husband live but goodness that is some gorgeous scenery (although I can't imagine the communte into the city).
They're not bad commutes, really. Totally different than The Hamptons and surroundings, where you sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic for hours and hours even at non-peak times. The Catskills is lovely and because it's inland it's a pretty easy commute. And Christian's is not on the CT shore so he wouldn't run into traffic jams either.

I figured on these 3 for the finalists and my winning pick is Sebastian. He has a taste level that Garo definitely doesn't have and Hester has her own quirky style (like Alice n Olivia) but more garish.
I agree, Garo's suit was just horrible. Very 80's. I thought he'd come up w/some type of tuxedo affair fitted to perfection. Bishme - omgosh - nothing fashion forward there and that outerwear garment was just horrid. I thought Hester's stuff looked better on the racks than on the models. I think the short white dress was just too short for the plus size model, it was just not a very becoming look on her imo.
I think I dozed off in parts. I didn't recall seeing Garo's dog. Guess I'll catch up when they show it again next week.

The episode seemed like it was all over the place.
I'm having a hard time imagining any of the full collections right now. IMO what we saw doesn't reflect the extra time or money they were given.
Hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised as they walk the runway.

Hee @jellyBEAN Garo's Yorkie made a brief but sweet appearance at the beginning of the show.

It always seemed to me that what I was seeing on the final runway show was so different than what they showed prior during the home visits and in the workroom. I would see stuff and say where did that come from? Maybe they end up reworking everything during that final time, but some of it I can't imagine as being re-worked, so I have to think they don't show us all the looks.
I also think it was a mistake for Garo to spend the money on 4 extra outfits. He can't put them all down the runway, and it shows a lack of focus to me. Too many ideas.

Hester’s accident was actually the needle going into the top of her nail. Very clearly they all said nail. Hester said it went all the way through but it didn’t. Still painful but that is why very little blood and her wrapping a bandaid herself around it.

@Icegoddess - I have run a sewing machine needle through my index finger. There was not a lot of blood as one might expect. And, let me mention how badly it hurt, lol. I don't think its an easy thing to do, but I was very tired and not paying attention - accidents happen.

So proud we knew him "when." He's come a long way from being a contestant on PR, living in an apartment in NYC smaller than many closets.
(FYI his bio on the CFDA web site does not mentoin Project Runway. Snobs.)
Thank you for posting this @LoriLori ! I love the photos and his choice of pool floaties (he must be a riot to live next door to). And he has furbabies! My favorite is his bathroom where he makes the very most out of every inch of space in there. Reminds me of when Tim Gunn went to visit him in NYC and was mesmerized at how well he made every inch of space in his tiny apartment support the beautiful outfits he was creating.

Just watched the epiosde this morning. Side Note - I was mendig a ripped seam on my down coat as I was watching. I washed the coat a few days ago and heard clunking in the machine. Thought something was wrapped around the agitator - it was DOWN stuck all around the drain holes. I didn't realize there was a tear and I guess as it washed, it tore more and fluff was flying the coop.
I will now dry it along with something wet to see how much loft still remains. The coat is more than a few years old but it suited me. Up to my knees, elastic cuffs so no wind goes up and very lightweight. It now might be alot lighter. There was no internal boxed system as blankets - just a big old hole.
sorry OT and now back to our show

I don't mind the shorter snips of visitng the home. Tim Gunn was breaking bread from breakfast to dinner and every aunt and uncle was presnet. Also loved Christian's comments - Garo's long walk up the path and Hester's video game apartment. Love him.
I'm a huge fan of Garo but was disappointed in his looks aside from the suit. Brandon was so right, I had a lot of thos pastel suits (LA Law) and wore them to work before business casual. I thought they were so much more modern that the navy/black banker suits.
Bishme had the worst look but LOVE his other pieces. The one piece leather outfit was spectacular (love the side pockets)
Hester - I'm becoming more and more a fan and would gladly sit next to Lori on the bench. Love the red look and the first short dress look seem more of a schoolgirl fetish. She has a very specifc look and a sliver of an audience but the red look would open the sliver to a large wedge.
Sebastian - looks terrific but in real life, have you sat on lether ringlets? You would have a waffle imprint on your thighs. It is hard and unforgiving. Haha - the leather belt that Elaine raved about was made by his father. I would love to have one of his dad's handbags.
