For those that remember the original show.  I watched it as a kid.

Mark Goddard, the actor best known for playing Maj. Don West on the fanciful and popular 1960s science-fiction series “Lost in Space,” died on Tuesday at a hospice center in Hingham, Mass. He was 87.

I saw him recently on "Perry Mason" reruns....and I used to watch  Lost in Space too when I was a kid.....!

He was so, so sexy.

so sad...loved lost in space as a kid.I read that he got his masters degree in education and became a special ed teacher...and taught for about 20 years.  to me that is a real hero.  (so many people think actors are heros)

To me examples of heros are first responders and teachers...(and many other such professions)

I remember watching Lost in Space as a kid.  He was so handsome.  May he RIP.

In addition to him passing this week, there was also actress Piper Laurie and now Suzanne Somers.

I thought he was so good-looking in his youth.

Lost in Space was one of my favorite shows growing up. I still enjoy watching the reruns.

I also remember his brief role as Derek Barrington on General Hospital back in the 80's.

From the articles I've read about him over the years he seemed like a down to earth, decent man.

He was also quite handsome back in the day.
