Laura is one of my favorite movies with Gene Tierney! Looking forward to seeing more of her movies again. My dvr is locked and loaded! Thanks for the heads up! Another sleeper with her is the movie "Black Widow" with Van Heflin and Ginger Rogers. I bet they show it again on one of her featured "days" of the month.

@Johnnyeager,  I bet that is such a good read.  I think I've almost avoided it, knowing the sadness she endured, with her daughter and all.  I wonder if her career would have taken a different path if she hadn't had all her personal tragedy to deal with...  

 

I'd also be interested to know how much she discussed the romance with JFK.  I imagine she was discreet.

 

Oh, good, @Caaareful Shopper , another viewer for my "pet" film, "Whirlpool".   I hope you and @mspatmac will swing by later if you watch, and deliver your opinions!

 

Love "Black Widow" too, @TexasMom1 !    Gene's role should have been bigger!   Van Heflin was fab, as usual.

Thank you for this post!  I love Laura and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir so much that I have both on dvd.  But I had never heard of Whirlpool.

I thought Gene Was so beautiful, and Dana Andrews was so handsome, his younger brother Steven Forrest is good looking too. I have the movie. It's a dark noir movie 

that was quite popular in  the 40's dim lighting black and white.

I believe Dana Andrews played in several  movies with gene Tobacco Road 1941 and Where the sidewalk ends 1950. Dragonwyck with Vincent Price
