First: Aiden the best looking guy on the show? I beg to differ. :cough cough Galen: (which now that I type that does sound a little like a choking sound LOL).

Don't be too uplifted. We will have to wait more than six months. Since the show is in the can six months ahead that would mean it's written nine months to a year ahead. Like all new head writers coming in they will be able to do some rewrites and can as much of the stuff that they can but logistically speaking they're stuck with some of it and that means so are we.

It could be a year (for us) until their stories really have a chance to play out.

Unless: The network wised up and just chucked all this pre-taped stuff and went to a new schedule and allowed the writers to create the 50th. But I think that scenario is only in my dreams. If they did do that it would put them on a simliar taping schedule to all the other shows. But I bet they're too cheap to do that.

BTW one of the new head writers is old head writer Dena Higley who created Faux Rafe who raped Sami for months and months while we shook our heads and said this bites except that Galen is better as Faux Rafe than real Rafe. So she's not so new.

The other one I'm not familiar with, he got his start on Sunset Beach which I've never even heard of and has worked his way around the CBS soaps here and departed, since then.

AuntG, this was only the first or time I've seen JJ & Steve -- I mean JJ & Eve locking lips and I wanted to hurl.

I love that one of the writers created Rafe2, lori.He should really do comedy, he was terrific. btw, you DO know that his name is pronounced gal-in as in gallon? I heard him say it myself and was so stunned because I'd been saying gale as in wind, forever. Yes, he is very handsome and my type exactamundo, but he's just not got the personality. And when I saw him on dirty soap I knew for sure he wasn't my type. I won't go into that.

lori I'm so glad you're around to figure out things like the taping schedule. I get a brain cramp every time I try.

Thanks for the compliment but I don't figure anything out. I just read Daytime Royalty and there is a man there who is very connected to the show and knows all. But he doesn't say what he knows most of the time. Like if someone was fired four months ago, this man knows that but he doesn't say anything that hasn't been publicly announced.

Here is my wish list for the newbs:

Get a new Will. Anybody will do who isn't Guy Wilson. Even the guy in the DAYS mailroom would probably be better.

Fire the Poplar Bluffs crowd and pit Stefano vs. Victor the way it should be.

Get Maggie away from Victor, make Melanie have her teeth filed and speak like a grown-up.

Do whatever you want with Rafe, just do something with him.

Bring back Phillip, his career hasn't gone anywhere, he could be open to it.

Get rid of John or give the actor an ultimatum, either he stops looking like Dramatic Chipmunk and making other weird faces or he's out.

Hire a hot, secksy British actor to play the part of JE...who turns out to be EJ!

I don't know the secret ways that Salem has of bringing back people from the dead (because it's a secret, duh) but I would like them to bring back EJ but with EJ will come Sami and I don't think they can do that.

Melanie, well, there's just nothing I can think of but to send her back to Marseilles. (gee, I spelled that right!!) Isn't that where they found her? Well, put her on a plane, since buses can't go across the ocean, have someone meet her upon landing, then take her back to that same cafe where they found her in the first place. Never to return or even heard from again.

You're right, EJ is dead. But I don't like Chad running the DiMera clan so Elvis's secret brother could be cool unless they want to steal Tony back from GH, which would be awesome. That would even bring our OT back, right? Red Rover, Red Rover, let Tony come over!

I would love it if the new team would cause Chad and Eve to be recast as well as Will. But since I took that big break from the show and I'm still only watching half, I'd like to know what people here think of Chad now? Has he grown on you?

I'd like them to give Kate something to do other than prowl the manse, snarl at Chad and debase herself with Jed.

As for Chad, I rather like this actor's portrayal of the character. He's clearly conflicted about the DiMera modus and world view, but not above some dirty tricks. I think his feud with hapless Ben is ridiculous — no DiMera would actually give two thoughts to one so inconsequential. I think it has something to do with Abigail, but if so, pretty lame. And why was he instructed by Stefano to pursue Jordan? Rafe?
