Did I miss it last night - did they mention anything about the female chief of police? I know she wasn’t in the previous movie, but at least they commented about it (think she was on maternity leave or something). Since her husband is the police presence in the movies, is just a little glaring (to me) that she’s missing.
@Alter Ego I noticed she wasn't in last night's movie, too. I hope they don't just write her out.

@NickNackI have it on DVR and have not had an opportunity to watch it. He also directs some of the Murdoch Mysteries. He probably was just too busy, but it was nice seeing him in another, more current, role. I think the MM first focused on 1895. They are now filming season 11, but they are way behind on our PBS station.

I watch Murdock Mysteries on the COZI network - Saturday and Sunday nights at 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning if I'm up in the middle of the night, which seems to be a lot! They are the older seasons shown.

It shows up in some crazy places. Ovation airs it under the name The Artful Detective and I think they just finished airing the latest season. Their air older episodes during the day and newer episodes at night. They may air anywhere from 0-4 episodes a day, which can be confusing.
I used to get it on a small local station called KBVO that operated under the My Network TV banner and aired it in the wee hours, but I no longer see it on their schedule.
If you do get Ovation, here's their schedule: http://www.ovationtv.com/schedule/

I missed this one and the other that came out earlier this year ~ but I already set my DVR, since it'll be repeating this Friday the 3rd.
Reap What You Sew will be repeated on the 10th.
Somehow I'll manage to catch the ones that I've never seen!

Yes, they are all shown over and over again. In the evenings and then again in the marathon format on weekends.

And he did mention her in passing, like he had to get home to help her with the baby or something.

Well, I'm sitting on hold for an hour with SS, so I looked up the gal who plays Lynne and found an interview with her published in Jan and she stated she was having a baby girl IRL in a few days so she would not be able to fly to Vancouver to film the next two Aurora movies.
ETA: She also sings. Here is a link to a video with her and Paul Greene. She needed a guy for the video so asked her friends for suggestions and Candace CB suggested him.

(They told me an hour wait and I am at 45 minutes...who knows what else I will find by the time they actually get to me!)

@Wsmom Thank you for researching. Hopefully she will be back - not that I particularly liked the character, but because it would be strange if she never showed up again when she’s married to a character and has a vital role on the police force! Her just quitting to take care of the babies just wouldn’t fit her character and they already killed off one police chief!

The movies are all right but the books are much better and, as noted, the movies diverge from the books quite a bit. I'd have preferred the movies be more reflective of the books and that there had been better casting.
