@Kathyfobo  HSN is actually having two hosts present this morning in their Birkenstock show.  Callie and Tamara are hosting together. 

 

Perhaps it's the opposite of what you surmise -- the dual hosts may be actually bringing more sales than the single host shows.  Only management knows the sales numbers.  

 

Interesting that after the sales quarterly results (which are reported as a combination of QVC & HSN, as QxH) HSN seems to be starting this, so that may indicate something.

We each have the opportunity to manage our own households and financial decisions.  

 

I prefer to let QVC manage and direct their affairs.  They alone know what's best for them.

Complaining about 2 hosts is like the complaints about vendors on Skype. Never going 

to change. Its 2025.

@Caaareful Shopper that HSN shoe presentation felt very forced, imo. I was confused initially because on the occassion I do watch, I like the single host better than the "dynamic duo" setup on Q.

QVC can track sales by the minutes and see when they spike and what causes them to decline.  The producer is constantly advising the host what to say and do.

 

Overall, long term trends and minute to minute sales are two different things.


@Kachina624 You are so right.  A host from ShopHq does a podcast now, and she said they are watching the sales second by second and tell you in their ear what the sales are at the moment and to ramp it up if the sales are low.

Management does not know that is why their numbers are way down. They are just trying different gimmicks.

I agree. I feel like most of the info I'm trying to gather from the guest/rep is being spoken over and I just can't hear it. And goodness gracious some hosts consistently interrupt for nonsensical ramblings that have nothing to do with the product. I get a little chit chat is cool but convey the specifications clearly. I will not name names but there are hosts that when I see they are on air, I switch the channel. 

 

And, it seems they no longer consistently provide the height, length, width, & weight of purses. And that matters, especially with Dooney & Bourke bags. I don't want want to have to log on to my computer just to see if it's something I can carry when that info should be right there on their card. Some hosts do provide it, others do not.

 

QVC please give the BASIC INFO & stop talking over one another. It's rather annoying.
