Wish QVC would go back to a single host show. Hsn is more enjoyable to watch, when you dont have people talking over one another. Hosts acting like venders or models. Enough already, maybe that is why your numbers are down. Why pay for two when you can have one.

I have to agree.  What is the purpose?

QVC has the sales figures and know what's most productive for them.  They're experts in the field of TV sales.

I disagree, @Kachina624. Each quarter their figure showing  that sales are down, viewership is down. At what point do they acknowledge what they've been doing isn't working?

JTV also often has 2 hosts on at once

Admittedly, I don't watch HSN all that much...however, I find they do the Exact same thing!

I have always seen a vendor on and find the same overtalking I see on Q.

@Etoile308.  Do you know of any retailer that has been making whiz-bang profits?  Look at the number that have declared bankrupcy.

QVC can track sales by the minutes and see when they spike and what causes them to decline.  The producer is constantly advising the host what to say and do.

Overall, long term trends and minute to minute sales are two different things.

@Kachina624   I agree on certain points.  They certainly are experts in the field of television marketing.  But, there is room for improvement. I haven't watched since 2003 because of vendor and host issues.  I know many people personally who did the same. A few said, it was too embarrassing. They do online. QVC has a problem getting new viewers and getting previous viewers back. Those things were way down. They know it.  As far as sales go, I think most businesses are in the same boat.  Since I don't watch now, I can only speak from past experience and relate with people echoing how I felt years ago. Maybe things will change.  Who knows. I shop online, and am very happy with that experience, and most of the products and pricing.  But watching, nope...too afraid lol!

1st quarter revenue was down 11% in the U.S. and 6% internationally. This is just one of a long list of quarters and years where Q lost money.

It's obvious that doing the same thing year after year isn't working.
