got this idea from another post...

why can't QVC add an "ignore" tool to this mb--one that would let you block posters that are either annoying or make you feel like you're being stalked, and block them from seeing what you're posting. How hard can that be?

They used to have it and it was a great tool to have.  I don't believe it's possible for this current interation for some reason.  I'd love to see it make a come-back!!

@FuzzyFace  That has been discussed at great length, both for and against, on this forum.  I believe the consensus by the Mods was that this iteration of the forums will not allow an ignore button.

I really miss that function. IMO they could retool the software to enable it if they really wanted to. And no, I don't know much about software stuff!

IMO it's not a big deal. I only read what I want & pass over what I don't want to read.

We're adults! Why would we need to have an "ignore button" to sweep other posters under the carpet to ignore them? Seems pretty childish to me. I would simply pass by specific posters comments if they were that annoying.

Re: got this idea from another post...

I never understood the allure of the Ignore feature either.

If it's a topic that doesn't interest me, I don't open it; if it's a reply from a poster who doesn't interest me, I scroll on by.

The problem becomes threads with titles like "What if......" or "This just happened......"

Then I have to decide whether to take a chance or miss out;

I think QVC would have to get different software which includes the ignore feature. I stumbled upon another message board with the exact setup here - including the same poster rankings.

I never used the ignore feature myself.

Re: got this idea from another post...

The ignore function was to ignore a user, not a topic.

There was one, now long gone poster, who would get nasty towards me and a few others, repeatedly. So when I had to chance to ignore her, it was good as I didn't come across her rantings -- and they WERE rantings LOL

Re: got this idea from another post...

When I first started posting, some posters would pick on me and criticize a few of my posts.   I chose to ignore them; however there were a great deal of kind posters jump to my defense.

I never understood why challenge someone you can’t see or know anything about them.

Anyway, I love posting and reading posts. And I don’t need a button to Ignore someone.
