The hosts all wear microphones and ear pieces for a reason and it's not because they are listening to music! LMAO..... BTW I think Sandra B. is a very polished well-prepared host. Love the new hair cut.

Which is why I could never do that job!
The producers would get on my nerves...
I can't imagine trying to juggle their interruptions, while smiling, doing my sales talks and interacting with a Vendor all at the same time.

Why title a post "Why"? I'm always curious, and then feel let down when I read critical posts that make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Guess I'll move on to "Oh No" next!

I see the vendors interrupting far more than the hosts, who are just following directions from the producers, as noted above. Many of the vendors seem compelled to push certain information and, sadly, are oblivious to the fact that it just makes them look rude when they interrrupt the host with either minor factoids or social commentary. That is a turnoff to me and I rarely buy products being pushed by rude vendors.

I've never seen vendors interrupt the hosts it's always the other way around. And "push information"? That's what I'm wanting to hear about from a vendor, more info about the product, particularly if it's something new as in skincare, etc. I want to hear the info about the products presented and very annoying when vendors are trying to explain the product and the host interrrupts to yell "gotta interrupt you to say 300 just flew outta here!"

I've never heard a brand rep interrupt a host [Susan Graver is part of a separate discussion entirely].
The vendor has strict quantity numbers to sell in mere minutes, or they get reduced air time, or none at all.
I often see the brand rep helplessly having to pause mid-sentence while the hosts offer banter, personal stories, or have giggle fests. The brand rep has to balance trying to be very considerate and jovial and appreciative for having the opportunity to sell. Then try to bring bring the truly important discussion back to the item.

@Caaareful Shopper So very true. I have noticed when watching a particularly new beauty item, where yiu need unfirnatuin as to colors, etc. a host interrupting just as they were going to describe a color and be interrupted then never getting back to it.grrrrrr######

I think interrupting can be annoying and I think the hosts should be allowed the leeway to work in whatever it is the producers want said in a better way. It seems clear that the hosts are sort of trained to just spit out whatever the producers tell them too since it happens a lot and with many different hosts.
BUT it has to be extra hard when it's with someone remote since there can be delays and also there's a tougher time with physical cues that the host wants to step in. And honestly I wonder if this is more of a producer issue. Like specific ones are more likely to push it. I've had the Basso show on and I haven't heard much pushing of amounts sold or left or anything.
