I don't know if anyone from QVC reads these posts. If they are smart, they would !! I agree with much of what is being said here. I received both UPS and USPS packages. I'd have to say the ones I typically get from USPS are normally in better condition due to the "size" package they are. Most of the UPS boxes are larger and arrive ok. Some have been received like they have been run over and there is NO packaging (EXTRA padding) in them whatsoever. Just dropped the vendors box inside a QVC box and sealed it and shipped it.
Adding now to my frustration to this "new" carrier "LASER SHIP" -- Oh my Gosh !!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE !!! I've been tracking a package all day and went on their website -- The Q NEEDS to READ these comments being written about this shipping company. I know this switched was made because of the lower s/h charges. But, I will tell you, I will STOP ordering from the "Q" if they don't give the CUSTOMER (THAT WOULD BE "US") the option of WHAT carrier we want to use to handle our shipments. Honestly, I don't mind paying more. What I resent is the STRESS and FRUSTRATION this is causing me everytime I have to track down one of these packages !!!
I'm done ! Either give us (YOUR CUSTOMER !!!!) the option...or lose us as "CUSTOMERS". If you monitor these boards (which a "quality" company would do) -- your CUSTOMERS are trying to TELL YOU SOMETHING. Its the old saying...money talks ... BS walks. I'm ready to do both !!! (25++ year long customer). BRING back the OLD days when QVC actually took those letters (QVC) seriously !!! ARE YOU LISTENING ????

Any one that has a rural address is going to be affected by the new fedx surepost. Now I have to run into the post office to get my items. Working full time and just the inconvience of this change doesnt make this convienient at all. I have 3 packages sitting there until I can get in there. Called qvc told them I am done. If it doesnt fit into the mailbox I am not ordering anymore. They did this a few years ago and it was a disaster saving money great for them bad for the rest of us

I just called QVC customer service to voice my complaint with the way I pay $11.97 postage for a Dooney Bourke bag, only to have UPS sign it over to my local post office. When I buy from other companies (Kohls among them) I pay less for postage with the complete understanding that the reduced shipping costs translate into slower delivery rates....at sometime recently I find QVC leads me to think I am paying for UPS service only to find out UPS is sending it thru the postal system....for me this means poorer quality delivery service taking MUCH longer to get to me. Unless WE the customer notifies QVC customer service we will NOT continue to pay more for less service, we will continue to get stuffed. I urge everyone affected to let QVC know if they continue to tell us "we have no control over UPS procedures" we will shop directly from stores or shop from vendors who are upfront about shipping prices and delivery practices.

I've been reading these posts regarding the UPS option vs USPS and wondered if there are any other customers in the US Territories that are just as upset as I am over the Q's recent policy of raising the S/H rates to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, and USVI. The Q must be receiving special shipping rates from both carriers otherwise they'd never be able to offer the $3 & $5 rates for so many items. In the USVI we have no other option but the US Post Office but I've compared the new S/H rates that now pop up when I select my St Thomas PO box and they're more than flat rate box rates which many items can fit into. Today's special value S/H rate of $5 for those of you on the Mainland would be over $16 for me. I can order from Macy's and get free shipping. What do you think my choice is going to be? Shame on the Q - guess they don't want our business.

All the other online vendors I shop seem to be much more customer friendly when it comes to shipping. Suddenly, after Christmas, the rates to Alaska doubled and tripled for regular USPS shipping. A $22 Lock and Lock order was going to cost $19 to ship! This is not expedited shipping....regular shipping that previously had been the rate posted ($3 or $5) now is outrageous. Thank goodness for Amazon, LLBean, Nordstroms...
Also, Q needs to fix the tracking of the packages. This morning I checked order status and a package had left the Anchorage, AK facility. I live in Fairbanks, so I was expecting the pkg. in one or two more days. Tonight, when I check the progress, the message I get states NO shipping info available, as if the pkg had never existed. What....did the package and the previous tracking all disappear as if it had never happened??
This is an ongoing issue with Q.
Most other companies who use USPS link DIRECTLY to the USPS site for tracking. Not Q. It's more frustrating to deal with Q than it ever used to be (actually, I had no problems with the company until the last few months....not sure what is going on).
