I hate being forced to use USPS...they are BAD.  Most should be fired for how they do their work.   Sloppy work.

I like UPS best.  Things run perfect all the time.

I'm curious about this - QVC is now using FedEx?  Since when?  I've not heard of this nor have I ever had anything from the Q use FedEx.

I believe there's faults with all shipping vendors.  I don't like USPS sometimes but then I'm not happy with how UPS handles some ofmy packages that actually come via UPS.  Sometimes I get items that are CLEARLY marked 'this side up' or 'handle with care'.  I'm not convinced that UPS reads/notes this info on the boxes nor am I convinced they care.

Recently I ordered a new computer from amazon.com.  Of course it has a lithium battery which was noted on the outside of box.  It also read 'DO NOT crush or break the box'.

It came to me crushed AND broken!!!  AND the UPS guy set it on its side.  The box also read 'DO  NOT ACCEPT THIS package if the box is broken'.  Well UPS delivered it and I opened it.  I knew clearly what it was.  Luckily, my computer was not at all damaged.  Good thing for all around because if it was damaged and I had to send it back, I clearly would have been GRIPED to say the least!!!

I've also had food items in those styrafoam boxes with dry ice in them.  Again clearly marked 'THIS SIDE UP'.  It was delivered by UPS UPSIDE DOWN!!!!  If it had been a Jr's cheescake it clearly would have been ruined!!!!

I've had USPS mail deliverers just TOSS my mail on my porch too.  I've also watched my mail carriers at times attempt to stroll through my landscaped yard to get to my next dr neighbor's just because he did not want to turn around and walk down my steps again.  WHAT????!!!!  Well you cann't 'walk' through my landscaped yard because we have wires running through our privot hedges to aid in holding them up BECAUSE OF OTHERS WHO'VE walked through them and have broken branches to bits!!!!!!

Catching USPS carriers attempting to do this in MY yard, I've run outside yelling at them that you cannot get through my hedges!!!!  STOP RUINING MY LANDSCAPING!!!!!!  This kind of shear stupidity obviously BUGS the c*ap out of me!!!!

So yeah, clearly I have problems with how my mail & packages are delivered at times.

Do you job AND do it well.  That's all I ask.

I generally selet the least expensive shipping option. I have found that items shipped via USPS take much longer than those shipped via UPS to arrive. Our Postal Carrier leaves items right in our mailbox. I have noticed the USPS option is least expensive on the smaller items that I order. UPS will leave your packages where you designate if you are not home uring the day. My Mr. Brown Pants is great about places larger boxes or mulitple boxes out of sight.

I prefer UPS myself.  It comes faster is all.  I have no real complaints from either. It's generally a surprise how it will show up.   I've ordered 2 of the same thing and got one UPS and one USPS.

I'm sure it's cost effective to have the post office deliver.  Amazon does the same.

USPS is incompetent in my area.  They are so slow, and the items never arrive when they should.  I wish we could choose which shipping agent to use.  I definitely prefer UPS.

Now for my gripe... You can look this up on the net; I need to think about how I got this info there.

USPS made a "deal" to ship to the U.S. from China in e-packets for mere pennies.(rates given in pennies per unit of weight) Then, the U.S. citizen pays exhorbitant shipping rates for it to be shipped to their homes.

The same deal may have happened between other shippers.

I have been getting packages shipped both UPS and USPS.  The USPS things on the whole are Priority - got my TSV cookware in 2 days.  UPS comes rather quickly too.  Have the physical address of my local post office as my address for UPS delivery and so all packages go to my P O Box.  I have one item that was ordered quite a while back and I have received several packages already that were ordered after that one package.  It was shipped USPS.  I think it is lost in the system.  Giving it til tomorrow when I pick up two packages that I know will be at the post office tomorrow before I call customer service to locate or reship.
