Re: Usps deliver problems... Please stop using them

@shoekitty   I think that one takes the cake.  I had an eBay McKenzie Child tea kettle  purchase get to my distribution site in St.Paul and sat there a week there instead of towards me. Then  out to the East Coast which didn't make sense to ship across country away from my area. It originally came from Tx.I looked up the ratings and comments for  some of these distribution sites and some were 2% rating?

I wrote to my legislators as thought it was a waste of tax money shipping things like this. It made no sense and in this technology age shipping should be more stream lined.

Otherwise no complaints.

Re: Usps deliver problems... Please stop using them

The majority if my QVC packages are delivered by UPS. They rarely transfer them to the local Post Office.  I know most of the local UPS drivers personally and one driver my dog thinks of as family.  The drivers in my neighborhood bring all the dogs treats along with their deliveries.  It's adorable.  I haven't had any problems with the local post office with packages but they frequently put the wrong mail in my box so I have to deliver those envelopes personally to the correct house.  That really irriates me.

Re: Usps deliver problems... Please stop using them

well here is my update on a pair of pants I ordered from NJ, that wound up in San Juan Puerto Rico.  This was mealy 3 weeks ago they were mailed. The vendor had sent me a replacement pair a couple weeks ago.  Surprise, yesterday the original package arrived!  By now I have my pants, I thought things were settled. Long story short. Vendor said pants I recoeved were original package.  They never went to San Juan, contrary to USPS tracking!  They were wandering around somewhere, no one knows   It was false tracking, and they can't acct for where package.  So,who,knows!! lol. I actually feel sorry for vendors.  They go thru a lot of trouble and expense due to many of their  mistakes .

This is a QVC problem. Q chooses to ship by parcel post knowing how parcel post works.

If Q shipped by even the next level of mail, these problems would not happen, not nearly as often.

A lot of people don't understand how parcel post works. Read my prior post for those details.

@DesertD

Occasionally I put a large note on the incorrectly delivered mail and return it to my mail box with the flag up for pick up.  If I were to deliver it myself, they would never know they made a mistake.  If it kept happening, then I'd got to the post office manager with my complaint and let them handle it.

Re: Usps deliver problems... Please stop using them

I have two packages floating around in USPS lalaland somewhere.  QVC replaced one of them because it was two months missing and another one they issued a refund because I had already re ordered.  I have a lot of problems with USPS delivery but one of the USPS regional facilites in my general area has been all over the news and been mentioned in hearings on Capitol Hill because they have had so many issues.  I get excited when I see a package is being shipped with UPS only to be disappointed when THEY transfer it to my local post office because then it takes another 2-3 days before I receive.  Sigh.  QVC needs to rethink how they want to handle deliveries so that they can improve their ailing business model.  No wonder they are in trouble these days.  Who pays for this missing inventory?
