I received the warning letter in May and haven't purchased anything since.  If their sizes were consistent and the quality was decent, I wouldn't have returned anything.   Besides, 99.9% of what they sell can be found elsewhere with other promo codes, usually free shipping (both ways), and arrive faster than Q's pony express.

Re: Too many returns

[ Edited ]

Those letters have been sent out for years.  If your account was closed the Q did you a favor.

I learned fairly early never to buy anything made especially for qvc.  Most of it is junky and not made very well.

i only purchase items  from the Q that can be found in a brick and mortar store. Quality control seems to be better.

The Q closed my credit card account years ago because I was on vacation and made my online payment 2 days late.  I couldn't get internet access and then I forgot.  I personally thought it was crazy as my credit score is over 800.  Their loss because I stopped buying on a whim.

QVC used to be my go to store, but not anymore.  Amazon took their place.  They have faster free shipping, lower prices, and easier returns. Their auto ship is good too.  I am not a Prime member.

QVC, nor any other company's marketing is not to blame for people over-spending.

You must know what you can afford, so don't purchase beyond your means.

QVC sends warning letters before they take this step.  At a 70%rate, you were costing QVC money -- costs which got passed along to other shoppers.  QVC is not alone in this practice.  HSN does it.  Even brick and mortar stores are tracking returns and turning away serial returners.

Unfortunately, it appears that QVC was not a good fit for you (no pun intended), and honestly, if you found yourself returning such a large percentage of purchases, why would you want to continue shopping here?

Didn't you read where she said she was new and wasn't familiar yet with sizing. And that will never happen....

Check out Amazon.  Often their prices are the same or cheaper than QVC.  For $99 per year, you get free shipping (and often free returns for clothing) and it will arrive in 2 days.  I've found Amazon to be better than QVC for pricing and shipping.

@QUALITYSEEKER. Since you are seeking quality, I'd suggest you continue your quest elsewhere.  You are grossly exaggerating.  I've received one or two (average) items a week for years, mostly clothing.  I've never seen any of the things you describe.  I shop carefully, always checking the actual garment measurements.  When you post here, you're talking to other shoppers and we know what the situation is.

Why in the world would would you continue to shop here after one or two bad experiences?  That doesn't even make sense.  You don't have to accept what's "thrown at you".  Shop somewhere else!!!!!!

I believe I stated it had to do with sizing issues as opposed budget problems.  I sorry you did not read my post correctly.

I totally agree with you, and also wrote a topic a few minutes ago regarding the same thing. 90% of the time measurements aren't given so a person has no clue what the chest size is or how long it is. Now I try to get on QVC's site to check to see if the measurements are listed, and what they are. That saves me from paying return postage. I have lots of cancellations and lots of returns due to this problem. The size chart isn't worth a flip. It's generalized and clothing, even within the same line, run differently.

Example: Denim & Co seems to run quite large on me, so I order a size down. But tonite when I checked on chest measurements, the size L was going to be way too small.

I too am sick and tired of the routine check the item under "click here" for measurements. And even there I have found a chest measurement written as, "chest measurement when folded." Now what does that tell you? If you lie down and flatten out your breasts it might fit?

Hello, Mr peabody and welcome. Smiley Happy

Sorry that happened to you. It's not just you. Quite a few people on this forum have said that the clothes from QVC didn't fit them well. Hope you find something that works well for you.
