There's no accounting for class. People show their true souls through their words.

I don't see much character to be assassinated . If this seems harsh so be it.

Yes, once again it is now the qvc moderators fault and the posters fault for character assassination for her mess. The thread was closed and innocent posters had posts deleted that never mentioned anyone just personal stories early on. When these posts got deleted the tone changed. Obviously, by starting this thread it is still not good enough for the host's fan base.

When is QVC going to get it that Shawn's behavior and "soap box" issues are so divisive? Someone needs to reign her in or let her go. She is there to sell products - not to keep expressing her personal beliefs and opinions.

Basically, QVC needs to create a blanket taboo - no forum members may comment on any host or vendor, good or bad, period. The end.
No poster has the "right" to trash another poster. Why should they assume they can trash hosts
ad nauseum? It is not constructive criticism. It is not "I would think QVC would want to know." No matter what the protestations of innocence, or "helping" the host or QVC, IT.IS.BASHING - and it will continue forever - and is much, much worse and more frequent on the new forums than the old.
Moderator: This person has started 5 host-bashing threads in 4 days. That's enough. Make note of her IP, warn her, and if she starts #8 she's out."
The rest of the forum: Yaaay!
It's sad that a few people with the emotional maturity of 13 year olds have to make something like that necessary.

No one is forcing you to watch her. Time to let it go.

When the entity QVC thought it was a great idea to have their hosts all have QVC host Facebook pages, they opened the doors. Ditto Instagram or Twitter. And they push people to these pages! So, if the hosts don't want to engage the universe and receive posts that are less than all sweetness and light, those hosts should be prepared to post only innocuous comments that no sensible person can disagree with. It's why I don't post on a FB page. Not worth the potential vitriol that it could generate. IMO, SK didn't think through her post before hitting return. Maybe she needs a gatekeeper over her posts and another one to fact check the statements she's made through the years. I used to adore her, lately it just seems like a nonstop sales pitch. Good for QVC, not so good for her.

@Buck-i-Nana wrote:For the record, I dont' condone attacking anyone - hosts, vendors or other forum participants. That said, I read Shawn's FB posting and she specifically talked about instagram, not this forum. Instagram apparently became a war-zone between some animal rights folks and some Shawn fans/protectors - both sides contribute to those wars. We've seen that behavior here as well. The moderators here did remove those posts that went over the top here as well as the posts that got personal from one poster to another. They have since of course locked the thread.
I don't see how Shawn's posting on FB solves anything, honestly. I understand she was hurt, but she needs to step back and think about what many people posted regarding the topic in a reasonable manner. What many folks tried to convey was that it isn't something to joke about because torture and killing of black cats around Halloween is an ugly problem. It would have gone a long way, IMHO, if Shawn at least acknowledged that, admitting she was unaware it was such an awful thing and apologize! We all make mistakes, don't compound it by not learning from them.
Here is, I think, the heart of the issue (in bold). All I read on Instagram was a whole lot of defensiveness and not one word about responsibility from SK. Well said, @Buck-i-Nana

When I saw that segment with Shawn...my first reaction was..."poor kitty". When I saw the picture, I thought...."this does not look like a small kitten and is probably an older or "teen" cat. That made it better right there. Then I thought to myself, it looks pretty well fed, and it's probably not cold there. That is called giving people the benefit of the doubt. When some here don't like a host as a host (or a person, I might add) they go after that person with a vengeance and do far more harm than she ever could or would do to a cat. Not a kitten. I will take Shawn any day over any person here that does this to another human being. Yes, evil happens to animals, but this was not the case here and we know it for sure now and those same people still are doing it to her on this topic. I knew they would and sure enough, some of them showed up. Good! Please take notice moderators.
