HOWEVER...  there is absolutely NO CREATIVITY on their part.  It shows in their programming, shows and customer special offerings.

Totally agree!!  QVC is no longer competitive with other online retailers...prices are high for the quality of items, shipping and handling often non functioning,  return charges ridiculous.

It’s true, there really is no incentive to shop at QVC anymore. I felt like there used to be some deals, but no longer. Anything they’re selling, you can always find elsewhere at a lower price. The shipping fees are high and they add up fast. No appreciation for loyal customers. I would say the only benefit might be for someone that likes easy pay. That is not appealing to me at all. I like free shipping, competitive pricing, and a coupon offering a discount once in a while.

@Beauty Maven, I so agree with you, but I doubt they will do anything related to customer appreciation. I used to order quite a bit from the Q, but that has dwindled down to basically one brand with an occasional order. Their prices aren't reflective of their competition, there are few sales incentives, free shipping is almost unheard of, and shipping time is a big issue. I can find products to buy elsewhere....my favorite thing with QVC are these forums! LOL!

I think they really should rethink their shipping charges.... At least make it free shipping over a certain dollar amount or bundled shipping on all apparel. There are too many other places to shop that have good shipping deals. I know they make a lot of money on their shipping charges, but it is a turn off to spend $17.50 just to get 5 clothing items in one bag!

@jannabelle1-- I mainly buy five brands from QVC:

Vionic

Wen

Lock & Lock

Dooney & Bourke (because of easy-pay)

Valerie Parr Hill

These are the brands I don't see out in retail, or if I do, the prices aren't as good as QVC.  Valerie's items can be duplicated for less at the craft stores -- but I find her wreaths, candle rings and garland to be a cut above Hobby Lobby and Michaels. (If Valerie ever leaves, my storage closets will thank her!!)

Sometimes I buy cosmetics from the Q when they offer bundles of mascara or lipstick etc., but I'm done trying new brands because they cost so much to return.

And you're right -- I love the forums too.  This is the only online forum I participate in -- I'm not even Facebook!

Even their "sister" station HSN offered a TOTAL charge of five dollar shipping/handling for ALL items bought on the CIJ sales day!!  I often receive 20 % coupons from HSN and I always take advantage of them!!

Some retailers still see the wisdom of offering a deal every so often....
