Dear QVC---
I think it's time for a change in hosts.......The current host on your main fashion shows has admitted that she doesn't like pants, she doesn't like handbags, she no longer likes earrings YET you have appointed her as your head "fashionista" and have given her your top fashion shows....How can a host expect to make sales when they don't use or like the products....QVC has sent out surveys wondering why their clothing sales are down....hmmmm....TIME TO REFRESH YOUR SHOWS AND TIME FOR A CHANGE!!!
And yes I do turn the channel and don't buy!!!

I am not sure what the option is. Do you find a host that likes everything or one that lies well? I would rather a host be honest than to claim to like/love something when you can tell it is not their style.
I appreciate the honesty and just because you don't use an item, does not mean you can not sell it or appreciate someone that would. Give me the details, show me different angles and tell me about the product and that is really what I need to make a decission about an item.

So you prefer an honest host that's basically saying they detest their job!!!!
To be a GOOD host you need to be honest with customers yet have faith in the product that you are selling....some hosts do it quite well without being used car salesmen!!! It's called being proficient in your chosen profession!

So then a woman should never sell men's clothes and a man should never sell women's wear and neither should sell children's clothing?????

When the Q starts selling "fashion", then maybe.
Who cares what a paid employee says? Why do people hang on every word they say anyway? Can't you make up your own mind?
ETA: Did you find the same fault with the queen bee LR who refused to wear the TSV's?? Uh huh....

I don't think changing the host would improve sales much if at all.
If I've seen anything over and over here, it's that posters don't believe what the hosts say when they say they own something from every line - and now someone wants to get rid of a host who tells us she doesn't buy into every trend in fashion. Makes no sense to me.
Love her right where she is. She doesn't dress as I did when I was in college 55 years ago and she doesn't dress in a classic casual which I already know how to do.
Would I buy more handbags if someone else showed them to me. NOT.
More jewelry? NOT
More of anything than I already do? NOT

I have to go with SPURT here......if you are selling a product ...its your job to put a positive spin on it no matter whether you like...use it...have tons of it...or wouldn't think of buying it....
A good salesperson never gives out negative vibes...she/he is being paid to sell....make you want to purchase...get you to that phone...and your wallet...not make you question...if the seller doesn't use...the product...do i really want it...you don't want your prospective buyer to stop and question the purchase

I'm not talking about a TREND....she doesn't like ANYTHING to do with pants, handbags, earrings...
It is not professinal and makes you turn the channel when you can tell someone doesn't like their job!!! I bet you get the same feeling when you come across a rude and snippy cashier at your grocery store or retail shop....you think to yourself....I don't want to go back there again, or i hope she doesn't check me out!!! So you like bad customer service because to me this situation is the same thing!!
If a host isn't into the merchandise it comes across, just like those that don't cook and get assigned a cooking show---you can tell that across the screen.....And yes it's the same thing if they don't have kids, then they would not be the best choice to sell kids clothes---USE YOUR COMMON SENSE FOLKS!!! That was like when a host got sick and Rick had to sell bras ......(he did a professional job but I think most people laughed instead of bought)..... And i didn't like it when Lisa wore black all the time on PM Style....BUT at lease she did a PROFESSIONAL JOB and didn't come right out and tell TV Land how much she hated the TSV and she was very good at selling what she presented---

She's the queen, heaven knows why.
Don't hold your breath

I have to agree about that wearing black thing!
I hated it when Lisa did it and I hate it even more now.
The constant rerun of short dresses and boots is boring day after day. Even more so in black.
