LOL, I just think they should leave the op's name in the deleted thread.

It's a BB, threads/posts get deleted big deal, most of them that aren't controversial are buried by the next day anyway.

I've had threads deleted that I didn't think should have been, mine say unkind or off topic. It's a judgement call by the mods, they're not zombies so they have differing opinions on defining the rules. If they have a moderator forum (most do) they may or may not discuss the removal before or after the fact. Who knows, but no lives are lost I know that much.

Too bad poofed comments can't automatically generate an email alert to the poster, so they can be aware and correct their future posting behavior.

Since the poster takes her time to text her thoughts, it would be a courtesy to do that.

I wouldn't know that. Since I'm not on the forum 24/7 I have no idea what is being removed. I've never seen them as surely many others must not, too.
