Stop Futzing With The Website

It's like going to the grocery store and finding they've rearranged the merchandise everytime you go in there, so you can't find what you'tr looking for. I shop a ;ot of Lori Goldstein.  For a good year or so all I had to do was click on her name or Fashion and I'd get sent straight to her list of merchandise.  Now, suddenly, I get redirected to a horizontal moving rotator belt of her stuff, then I have to figure out where to click just so I can see the ****** merchandise I want to look at. Finally after about three more clicks I'm taken to the place I always was taken to before this "improvement" on the website. Please leave well enough alone.  I'm looking for the fastest way to get info when I log on.  Please don't add cutesy new gimmicks just because you're bored. I want one step to get to what I want to see, not three.

Re: Stop Futzing With The Website

I feel the same way!

The most annoying website I've ever used! The jumping ~still-with no answers or "she'll get back to you"-nope. And the moving websites supposed to promote interest? no, it is just annoying-period!

What's amazing to me is that a business as huge as QVC can't find website designers (like every other company!) to make a good website!

And yes, they seemed to have felt that making more categories is hip and interesting. It's not. Probably the same people who think loud and fast talking shows excitement-no it just appears frantic and uncomfortable and makes the viewers uncomfortable.

But I think everyone's complaints for over a year fall on totally deaf ears.

That is why we hope to watch but then give up-same with the website, not to mention the tracking or I should say lack of it.

We hear each other but they don't hear us!

All these extra clicks are to make their metrics look better so managers have some statistic to point at and show how well they are doing. The redesign isn't based on what the customer wants, it's based on what a manager wants.

agree what bugs me is the product view going directly to the video, I want to look at the still pix then the video and the still pix are wonky

obvious the website designers have never really used the site

Re: Stop Futzing With The Website

The search engine has always been horrible.

I wanted to look at the Quaker Factory cardigan with the nutcracker embroidery.   The name of the item actually has nutcraker in the listing & heading.

When I "search" for nutcraker it doesn't come up.

I'm buying less & less

Maybe they shouldn't have hired all those teenagers living in Mom's basement!

At least they got rid of the automatic video and moved the picture so that the color name is not blocked.

Yup. I don't doubt that QVC's tech people don't actually shop at QVC.com. The managers probably don't either. It's not surprising that every time there's a website "upgrade" that it doesn't work smoothly. It's always been like this. I don't think that IT is a valued part of the company as it's a cost center and not a sales one.
